Tiger Who? Nope, never heard of him
This is why you gotta love the tabloids.
Think every possible pundit, politician, celebrity and national and world figure has weighed in on the Tiger Woods sex scandal? Wrong-o. Here comes the New York Daily News with yet another luminary offering advice to the embattled world's greatest golfer.
And that luminary is -- you may want to be sitting down for this -- the Dalai Lama!
Yes, although Tibet's exiled spiritual leader said he had never heard of Tiger Woods -- boy, he must be in deep, deep exile, someplace where you can't even get CNN or a Golf Channel app on your iPhone-- someone apparently explained the gist of the scandal to His Holiness.
According to the News, the Dalai Lama emphasized the importance of self-discipline for Tiger and noted that all religions have the same idea "when it comes to adultery."
Apparently the Dalai Lama was asked to comment because Woods noted he had strayed from the Buddhist values of his upbringing in his infamous "Apology Heard 'Round the World" Friday.
Whatever.
If there isn't a "Saturday Night Live' skit in there somewhere, I'll eat my hat.

Here's the deal:
The NHL is difficult to follow because it just isn't an American sport or league since there are too many teams and players/coaches from outside the US.
Team USA Olympic hockey is great to follow because it feels as American as apple pie. You can relate to the players. They are from places you know or have driven through.
Here it is in a nutshell: Ryan Kesler of Team USA was great to watch last night. However, in the NHL he plays for a team called the Vancouver Canucks. What is a Canuck, why would I ever care about beating a team from Vancouver, and why is a guy from Livonia, Michigan playing for them?

Open your eyes and mind. There are a lot of people in the world that haven't heard of Tiger. Not everybody in the world sees golf exciting.
