Prediction Friday: Ravens-Bengals

Before we get to the Ravens today, I have some Orioles info to pass on.

Bodog.com, an online gambling site, set its odds for winning next year’s World Series, and the Orioles are 75-1 longshots. The only clubs worse off are the Kansas City Royals, Pittsburgh Pirates and Washington Nationals. They are all at 100-1 to win the 2010 title.

So, yeah, aren’t you glad it’s Prediction Friday and we have the Ravens to discuss?

(By the way, here’s a drink chip to CSB Jack, who predicted the exact score of the Ravens’ 30-7 victory over the Broncos. Of course, he cheated and submitted it after the fact while the bar was closed. But I am offering a chip anyway for his creativity.)

Now, for your predictions (you must submit before the Bengals’ game, Jack).

For the record, I will not be overlooking the Bengals the way I did in Week 5, when Cincinnati won in Baltimore, 17-14. But I am still going with the Ravens to win.

I am sticking with the same theory I had for the Broncos game (though I didn’t write it). The Ravens need this win more than the Bengals. If they lose, they drop two games behind Cincinnati and also will lose the head-to-head tiebreaker.

The Ravens aren’t talking about desperation, which admittedly is a bit of a stretch at Game 8. But this one is pretty darn important.

So I say the Ravens win 17-10 on a Kelley Washington 23-yard TD reception from Joe Flacco in the fourth quarter.

We’ll make Washington the game’s hero. Why? No clue.

Daily Think Special: Predict the winner, score and hero of Sunday’s Ravens-Bengals game.

24-21 on a Ray Rice Screen inside to 20 in the last 2 minutes

27-24 Ravens. Clayton doesn't drop the game saving pass this time...

I'm going to go with 26-10, Baltimore, Flacco exposes all the weaknesses and Palmer gets his rear handed to him

Ravens, 27-14. Ed Reed 2 INTS, one for a TD.

Ravens win 24-13.

Ravens 27

Bengals 17

Terrell Suggs gets 2 sacks and forces a fumble which is recovered by the Ravens and leads to a touchdown.

35 Ravens...7 Bengals...

Lightning doesnt strike twice!!

i really want to say the Ravens will win this game.. however i don't see it... in Cincy and the way they play on the road.. i don't see it happening... Bengals 28 Ravens 17

Baltimore 23, Bengals 16...we're gonna get some calls...they (league) need us to have a sexy record when Indy and Pitt come calling.

So nobody believes that was my prediction before the Broncos game? Oh well, a free beer still tastes good as long as it's cold.

This week: Ravens 24, Bengals 20. Team effort as always, espcially Flacco, Kelly Washington with some key catches, Mason with a TD, and strong defensive play by Lewis and Reed. And no stupid penalties that lead to a last-second drive by the Bengals.

Ravens 34, Bengals 17

Ray Rice with a TD rushing and a TD receiving, will be the hero, with kudos also to Flacco and K. Washington

Look for a shoot out between the veteran Palmer and 2nd year Flacco. Surrounded with a solid running game by both teams. Their running game not nearly as effective as last game. The Bengals are for real and are tough but the Ravens prove to be a little better all around: the coaches, players, desire etc. Ravens 37 Bengals 25. Add 4 points to the Bengals score for the refs and the final score is 37-29 Ravens.

If the Ravens come out with the same intensity as they did against the Broncos thay will win a close game, unfortunatly I do not think they will do that, but I do so much hope that I am wrong. I am not totaly sold on this Ravens team yet, they seem not to show up every week like they should.

Bengals: 31
Ravens: 24

It's friday, I'm off today and it's not looking like another rainy weekend. Let me buy round 1.....except for CSB Jack who gets the free drink chip.

Baltimore 27
Cinncy 20

Ray Rice...over 200 all-purpose yards. Ray Lewis 12 tackles.

Cincy big. Flacco small.

Bengals......24-10

First play from scrimmage Palmer hit Henry for 80 yards for a TD...to exposed the Ravens Weekness

19-17 Cincy.

Ravens 34-24 big day from Ray Rice.

I've never predicted against the Ravens so no need to start now. I share your same theory Dan, we need these games more, but Cincy's passing attack is the only thing that gives me the chills.

20-17 Ravens!

Hero of the game: The kicker? Steve Hauschka

Ravens 34-31 in a shootout. MVP Ray Rice

26-14 Ravens. Ed Reed Gets his Pick-6 this weekend!

Ravens 27 Bengals 10, Derrick Mason.
The hungry team wins...that's us!

i'm picking ravens 24-14. but this game has serious blowout potential. i wouldn't be shocked if it ends up 30-10.

Ravens--27
Bengals--23

Kelley Washington's 17-yard grab on third and 8 with 3:13 remaining in the fourth quarter is a big first-down play.

Ray Rice takes a swing pass and scampers in from 19 yards.

Jarret Johnson jars Carson Palmer and forces a fumble.

Ravens 28 Cinn. 14. Chad O spends whole game looking over shoulder for Ray Lewis, Flacco lights them up and Justin Ban. Repeats last weeks performance.Players to watch Fabian Washington and Foxworth stand tall and join the Ravens D for a second week.

Ravens-36
Bengals-13

The defense comes to play, forcing 3 turnovers. Offense goes back to smashmouth run game. The hero of the game is Ray Rice with 250 total yards

palmer is out of the game in the early 4th quarter and the RAVENS Win 27-20!

!!!!!!!!!!!!GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bengals 28, Ravens 17.

Bengals defense shuts down Ravens once again, and now in-sync Bengals offense puts up the points at home

Ravens 34 Bengals 24

Hero is Ed Reed. Intercepts Palmer twice.

My guess is Ravens 24, Bengals 16. I'll say that Kelley Washington comes up big against his former team, 6 catches, 95 yards and a TD.

I am not sure who will win this game. The Bengals are for real and I believe this will be a hard fault game. But, I believ the Ravens will overcome and win the game by 6 points.

Steve Hauschka kicks 3 field goals and nails a 51-yarder in last minute. Ravens 23, Bengals 21.

Fans of the Baltimore Browns have their hearts crushed as the Bengals teaches this team how to play championship defense!

Bengals - 24
Ravens - 13

Hero of the Game - Carson Palmer (takes a naked bootleg in untouched to seal the game early in the fourth and go 8-3 all-time against the Ravens)

30-17. Bengals win.....they're a better team.

Steve Hauschka field goal will be last Ravens score. Ravens D holds off a comeback on downs at the end of the game. Ravens 23-17

haha... great predictions. glad to see your still confident. Any chance you can talk to the nfl and try to swap schedules with some other teams so we can play you again?
