Post your Super Bowl predictions

We are now knee deep in NFL preview week here.

And it’s time for your Super Bowl predictions. I'll keep them, I promise.

I believe I had the Jacksonville Jaguars and Dallas Cowboys in the Super Bowl this time last year. So it’s pretty obvious why The Sun employs me as a baseball writer (For the record, most of my predictions for the baseball playoffs are still in good shape).

Basically, the AFC is tough for me to figure out this season.

I’m going to avoid putting the Ravens into the Super Bowl. That would make me too much of a homer. But feel free to do it yourself.

As a card-carrying Baltimoron, I am contractually obligated to not pick the Pittsburgh Steelers. Besides, it is so tough to repeat that I probably wouldn’t have picked them anyway, despite their immense talent.

And I am just not sold on the New England Patriots simply because Tom Brady is back. Yes, it makes them better; but not necessarily the AFC champs.

So I am going with the San Diego Chargers, because I like their balanced offense and strong defense, assuming a certain former Terp behaves. Plus, their division is so terrible they should be ashamed if they don’t lock up the conference’s best record and home-field advantage.

On the NFC side, I know the Cowboys, the Eagles and the Falcons are chic picks. But I am going with the Green Bay Packers. Again, I like the balanced offense and the opportunistic defense. And they also get to face some bad teams.

So that’s my call: Chargers versus Packers in the Super Bowl, with Packers winning.

Ravens over Saints 27-19

Very tough this year. So many really good teams. Should make for a great season. That said I've got to stick with the Ravens. Ravens win it all.

I might be the only one that thinks this but I like the following:

AFC- Ravens, Colts, Patriots, Chargers, Steelers, Titans

NFC- Seahawks, Packers, Saints, Redskins, Falcons, Cowboys

Superbowl- Ravens over Redskins

Ravens over Packers

Ravens vs Falcons

Flacco vs Ryan

Ravens-27
Falcons-24

AFC: Pats, Colts, Ravens, Chargers, Steelers & Texans
NFC: Giants, Saints, Packers, 49ers, Cowboys & Bears

Super Bowl: Ravens v Saints with Ravens winning it all.

Rematch >>>

Ravens - 31
NY Giants - 20

AFC East - Pats
AFC North - Steelers
AFC South - Jags
AFC West - Chargers
Wildcards - Colts, Ravens

NFC East - Cowboys
NFC North - Packers
NFC South - Saints
NFC West - Seahawks
Wildcards - Vikings, Eagles

Seahawks over Packers in NFC
Pats over Steelers in AFC

New England Patriots will be the Super Bowl Champs - not that I like that scenario very much but they will get it done this year.

Chargers over Vikings in SB XLIV

Ravens vs. Vikings
Ravens Win 24-20!

Ravens over Vikings

Ravens 23
Giants 17

My heart says go with the Ravens all the way because they have enough talent to win the Super Bowl. My head says they are not even the best team in their own division. Here are my official picks, not necessarily the way I want to turn out.

AFC: Chargers, Steelers, Patriots, Colts division champs; Ravens, Titans wild cards

NFC: Vikings, Giants, Falcons, Cardinals division champs; Packers, Eagles wild cards

AFC playoffs: Ravens over Colts, Patriots over Titans; Ravens over Chargers, Patriots over Steelers; Patriots over Ravens

NFC playoffs: Packers over Cardinals, Eagles over Falcons; Vikings over Eagles, Packers over Giants; Vikings over Packers

Super Bowl: Patriots over Vikings, 31-17

If I get more than half of the teams right, let alone the order of seeding or any of the games I will be completely surprised.

Baltimore vs Philadelphia

Ravens: 24
Eagles: 14

I think this year has the potential of being what most of us wished for last year... Ravens vs Eagles. This could be the year; have so many fans felt this good about our chances before? We finally got a good QB!

New England Patriots vs. Green Bay Packers.

SAN FRANCISCO will surprize many ,. I lived in baltimore most of my life,. ravens will be 8-8 if lucky. COLTS ., new england was 11-5 last year , they will be 7-9 this year .

SUPERBOWL

RAVENS 24 VIKINGS 17

SUPER BOWL

Ravens VS Brett Favre & Adrian Peterson

Brett Favre & Adrian Peterson win 73-0

SAINTS (31) vs RAVENS (21)
