Boldin price falls; Yoda Newsome on the clock

Apparently, the Cardinals have come to terms with the fact that they won't be getting a first- and a third-round pick for Anquan Boldin. Word has spread that their demand has lowered -- a second-round pick and other considerations in exchange for Boldin.
It's clear that the Cards are going to move the wide receiver, and as it concerns the Ravens, my stance hasn't change: Get him.
Can't you picture Yoda Newsome in his office, talking with Cards' GM Rod Graves:
"Todd Heap you will take. Anquan Boldin you will give."
And patient Ozzie has been. I don't know if they'll end up with Boldin (the Titans, Jets, Eagles and Giants all seem like players in the hunt), but the Ravens want him. And they made it clear that the previous asking-price was too high.
Well, it's lower now. Which makes it seem like the ball is in the Ravens' court.
Props and thanks to Bryan Shultz, a Baltimorean trapped in Seattle, for passing along the photoshop...

too many other teams in the mix. Ravens have always been cautiously conservative. Seeing that they paid for Ray Lewis to anchor the D and that Flacco seems poised, why not make the trade now? It would take 2 years for a 1st rounder to have much of an impact.

How often does opportunity to acquire WR of Boldin's caliber come along? If Ravens trade for Boldin , its not like they have to train , develop or wait for him to produce . When they put Boldin in , he automatically becomes your # 1 receiver , and three headed monster McClain, McGahee , Rice will see holes bigger than Red Sea . ' 2nd round pick and considerations' ??? What are we waiting for ?
Ozzie , while you're at it , why not extend Sugg a deal ? You will save Cap Room by removing the Franchise amount from Cap . Then you have Cap room for Boldin's new deal .

Yoda will take his time, make them sweat. I don't think too many teams want to deal with Boldin- just watch out for Philadelphia.
Whatever you do Ozzie- I'm with you!

Why didn't we pull the tigger
on Boldon today?

I wonder if Heap, Adam Terry (I think his salary this year has to be reasonable) and next year;s 1 could get Boldin....(if he will sign for 7 years so we can get under the cap)

Ravens get solid pick in 1st round, you wonder why
they are not too anxious to
trade up for a wide reciever, could something
else be in the works?

I think that if we get rid of Todd Heap
the Ravens might be able to afford
Bolden. I think that the Ravens should
get Suggs signed to a long term deal
so that they won't lose him next year.

I'm a ravens PSL owner and a very disappointed fan.
Do the Ravens think that Oher is the next Jonathan Ogden because I don't see it?
This staying the course business just does not make any sense. The whole world knows we need a wide receiver. Why didn't they trade up to get Pettigrew at tight-end and why didn't they pick-up Hakeem Nicks? Why didn't they trade their first round pick for Boldin is beyond me. The quarterback protection was good last year, and Oher is not a future hall of famer by any stretch of imagination.
I give the Ravens a grade of D

Acquiring Boldin isn't the problem, signing him to a premier WR contract is. Inking Boldin will likely cause a future problem with resigning Ngata and a few other important Ravens.

No Doubt we absolutely Need a Receiver like Boldin ....Yet How we acquire him is the tricky part ....I know Ozzie is figuring a way ta get him here while maintaining the stability of our exsisting players ...
at some point a decision has to be made and the right risk we must take ...its crucial we get a receiver like this to continue what Flacco started ....crucial ....Troy Smith stay sharp and on Point we got some tricks up our sleeves now ....
the anticipation is killin me
I'm out
