No,to a previous poster,the player should not be kicked off the team,it's coaching plain and simple.You held them and are getting great field position so you set up a return.Period,not rush the kicker.Also,there's a reason Gary Crowton was run out of LSU.He is very one dimensional and will ruin Danny O'Brien.We have 7 rushing yards and yet when they play is screaming for play action,with the huge Temple O LIne and D Line dominating,he tries to run for it on 4th down twice.This game is squarely on the coaches,and I promise you,Edsall will not even last ten years here,much less have the success Ralph had.When asked what he could do after halftime,Edsall blamed it on the players.The timing with the receivers is completely off,and we're giving O'Brien no time to throw.Crowton is another Cam Cameron,with no adjustments ever made period.Both very bad hires.Just my opinion,of course,and I'll have the haters hate on me,but you can already see between O'Brien and Crowton what you are seeing between Cameron and Flacco.Where's the screens and bubble passes that worked against Miami and WVU?This game is an embarrassment,and if we had any good recruits at the game,this will certainly seal the deal for them too go elsewhere.A one game suspension for breaking team rules is very commendable,but Edsall was not that good in a much weaker conference.Maryland will be very fortunate to win 6 games this year.The athletes Temple had were bigger and faster,and their play calling kept Maryland off balance all day.We just might have a difficult time beating Towson,sad to say.The only other winnable game on our schedule is N.C.State.Now they are going to start a QB controversy as well.Turnaround,what the bleep is Edsall talking about?This team went 9-4 last year and dismantled East Carolina.Maybe he means the turnaround will be complete when we go 4-8.Kevin Anderson was in over his head,may have lucked out on Turgeon,only time will tell,but made a HUGE mistake in Edsall.I said it then,and I'll repeat it now,if Ralph had to go,Franklin should have been the replacement.And Salazzo and Brown would still be here,and a performance like today would never have happened.When the buzz over the uniforms is greater then the buzz over the play of your team,something is terribly wrong.One thing I must give Ralph,when they team lost to Middle Tennessee State several years ago,Ralph said,I did not have my team prepared properly for this game.And that wasn't the only time he said that.Maybe we will graduate more players under Edsall,but I bet we lose many more games.He looked flat and clueless as well. I heard from someone who was there that when the fans were chanting "We want Ralph",some of the players were seen nodding their heads.One thing you can say for sure,Ralph never lost his team any year he coached here.I don't think Randy Edsall has ever even had them and never will.Bad time to be a Terps football fan.If we even get to a minor bowl game I'll be shocked.Don't be surprised if Danny O'Brien transfers either.
