I am Truly Impressed, Mr. Schmuck. Let's hope the Birds enter into the coming year with the Gusto that you and your crew hit the Bay.
Great Shot

Long ago there was some tribe or nationality that thought jumping into freezing water was good for your health, but whoever they were, they have died out. Does that tell you anything?

Anyone else notice that Pete did not fully submerge? Just sayin'...

Can't get that hair wet, huh Pete?

Pete,
So you take several weeks off in Florida just to come back and jump into the Bay. The water temperarture, incidentally was cold enough to kill a person immersed for 5 minutes. I think you should stick with the blog and your columns going forward. Wrestling and winter weather events are for the young and not for middle aged men coming off achilles surgery. Sorry, I have to tell it like it is.
If we hear that you bought yourself a nice new red sports car I think we wil know what is going on.

I've swum in the Chesapeake when the water felt like needles on the skin. I've swum when the water was so cold, I had to do open turns to keep catching my breath. I wouldn't have done what you did.
And, Pete, you did it for charity. I settled for a simple blood donation at Meadowbrook on Sunday instead despite my phobia for needles. That's as brave as I intend to get.
Well done and congrats. (Should have taken Bogey with you. I have an old vid of my Dal in the icy cold water of Loch Raven some New Years Days ago. Luckily, it's not in smell-a-vision.)

Pete, you Schmuck, you cheated and went in early. Have some humility and plunge with all the rest of the freezin insanity at 1 or 3pm.
And Gil, at least Pete took the Plunge. Where were you?
