Harbaugh is hot

John Harbaugh doesn't like his players acting out, but he has been all over the officials during the course of this game, and it's hard to argue after the offensive pass interference call that was just dropped on Derrick Mason.

Mason went downfield and faked right into the defender before turning toward the sidelines and catching a pass for a big gain. The play was called back and a 10-yard penalty assessed.

Why is this a big deal? Because Patriots receiver Wes Welker did the exact same thing on the third play of the third quarter and Chris Carr was called for illegal contact for standing his ground, which led to so much chatter from the Ravens bench that they also were called for unsportsmanlike conduct.

It'll be interesting to see who Harbaugh handles questions about all of it after the game.

You think he's hot? I knew those flowery shirts were a hint.

I am outraged by this game. The Ravens played good enough to win, but couldn't handle the refs spotting the Pats 14 points through two ridiculous roughing the passer penalties, and I'm glad someone else noticed the completely incongruous refereeing between the Welker "defensive pass interference" and Mason "illegal contact" calls. The routes were nearly identical and if anything, Welker initiated even more contact. Yet the Pats are bailed out on YET ANOTHER THIRD DOWN by incompetent refereeing, and when Mason runs a lower-contact version of the same play later on the offense gets called instead.

Why even bother watching the game if your team's play has nothing to do with the outcome? Why care about the NFL if after all the practice and coaching and front office moves and fan support the outcome of the game will be decided by a few terrible officiating calls at critical moments in the game?

If I were Harbaugh I would light into the refs in the postgame and just start writing a check in anticipation of the fine tomorrow. And if I were Biscotti I would submit to the league a play-by-play video analysis of the game's refereeing, carefully noting the numerous questionable calls that always seemed to occur on Patriots third downs, and also highlighting the HIGHLY disparate treatment by the officials of identical plays (Welker-Mason). These refs deserve it.

"Gaydar"? Seriously? Be quiet, you immature runt. Homophobia is so 1990s. Besides, Harbs IS hot.

You know, with the 10s of millions of dollars bet on football in this country, questionable officiating is rather, uh, shall we say, somewhat disturbing. Especially when you are not allowed to speak of the officiating, and the media is mute no matter how outrageous the calls.

TYPICAL Ratbirds fans! If YOU win, you're the greatest team IN THE WORLD! If you lose, the refs blew it. What a tired song that is. Get over it,you LOST!

Tom Brady should not even be proud to be a football player, the most horrible roughing calls, no grounding in brady with nobody within 10 yeards of he passes he throwa, no holding calls on the pats (especially on price in the 1st), the Harbough gets a flag? that was the most ridiculous horrible football game i've ever seen, the Ravens are the better team, the patriots, refs, and nfl should be embarresed. Proud of the Ravens for having a shot after those ridiculous calls, we are the better team, no doubt about it.

Typical Troll - Don.

Go hate somewhere else, loser. Must be a Belicheat fan, eh?

GO RAVENS!

Actually,a Baltimoron and a COLT fan,Bruce, but it WAS beautiful watching the cry baby Ravens boo-hooing ALL THE WAY HOME! Suck it,Harbum!!

don you obviously have issues. your easily a 40 yr plus older man sitting there acting out like an immature 10 year old. i don't want such immature and unintelligent people to even utter a word about the ravens because they obviously don't know what they are talking about. by the way when we beat the colts this year get back to me.

So Don, you proved me right, a Belicheat fan if even for a day. The moron part to describe you is right and our BALTIMORE COLTS are no longer. If you follow the INDIANAPOLIS version, then please, move there - Pathetic.

GO RAVENS!

Oh, and by the way, that’s Mr. Schmuck to you.
