Pete--Any Sidd Finch sightings?
Does Stephen Strasburg really exist?
My final question, compliments to Marvin Gaye: "Will our ball club win the pennant, do you think they have a chance?

What is something I am totally uninterested in experiencing?

Who are people who have absolutely no knowledge of how to put together a baseball team?

Pete,
Nothing like starting out a day with some witty humor! Read your post this morning and am already in a good mood due to the great laugh and almost pee'd my pants after reading the post.
So, do you think we could get 6 innings out of him and giving up less than 5 runs??!! If that's the case SIGN HIM.
Keep up the great work Pete.

Hahaha who wants him anyways? Excellent point, O's need pitching...."Vote for Pedro"!

If we were to sign Gary Sheffield I would officially become a "former " O's fan .

HAHAHA!!! I appreciated that, a nice way to start off my morning. We don't need an ego like that on this club anyway.

your day has come Trebek

This year the wheels come off. Its not McPhails fault, but Im not crazy about this past offseason.
Mistakes
- Not trading BRob for pitching. Huge
- Not signing 1 or 2 legit veteran starters...Not one of the huge money guys, but maybe someone like Derek Lowe, etc???
- Not bringing in the young Japanese prospect that Boston signed....
PITCHING PITCHING PITCHING
Get ready for a 100 loss season O's fans

Sheffield has been a brooding malcontent and a racist since his early days with the Brewers. His body is breaking down due to years of steroid abuse and advancing age.
He is a poster child for better living through chemistry. Whovever signs him gets a clubhouse lawyer and will regret it.

Gosh Pete: excellent could be lots of questions
Who is the last player still playing from the 1986 draft that the Orioles should have signed 20 years ago?
What famous left fielder is the nephew of former standout but troubled pitcher Dwight Gooden? Who did pitch in high school 24 years ago.
What is the one item that the Orioles need this year, besides outfielders, infielders and catchers?

Got another one for you Alex Schmuck. Did not notice until I looked at his stats.
What player that cannot pitch but can hit was released that will not have a team to play on that is stuck at 499 homeruns? I give up on that one.

Keep him off the O's. But I read that the Phillies are interested in him. They want a malcontent like him but cut Geoff Jenkins. The Phillies might outdo the Marlins and Veeck's last Chicago WS pennant winners in post-championship self-destruction.

1. What is the team who has lost 2 millions in fan attendance in the last decade?
2. What is the team that has no pitching this year?
3. What is the team that has more oposing fans in the home ballpark than its own?
4. Who has the worst front office in this century?
Unfortunately for us in Baltimore, all of the answers are the Orioles.

What is ... “Whew!”

Pete-
If we can get Sheffield to throw a changeup it's not too late to project him as a #4 or #5 starter for the Os. After all, he's given up fewer runs than all the guys in camp who were vying for those slots.
