Orioles: Koji update
Talked to Koji Uehara through his interpreter, Jiwon Bang, today to see how he's coming along with his rehab from a slight left hamstring strain. He said he will begin jogging today and remains very confident he will be ready to go when the regular season begins.
Uehara was asked if he will get enough work in by that time and did express some concern about adjusting to a five-man rotation. In Japan, the pitchers start about once a week, but said as long as he gets three more starts he will be ready.
"In Japan, you don't start as often, but you throw more,'' he said, "so it evens out. Unlike most Japanese pitchers. I don't like to throw as much."
Koji spent part of the morning going over an NCAA bracket sheet and apparently will take part in whatever bracket competition that takes place in the Orioles clubhouse.
"I still have to learn how it works,'' he said. "I just want to be a part of it."
If he wins, it will be quite a story.

I filled out a bracket in the Hoopla and the print out has the scores right but the program picked the team with the lower score as the final winner.
