Orioles: Intrasquad update (Part Deux)
The black squad leads, 5-0, after Jake Arrieta gave up four runs in the fifth inning. Arrieta was not sharp, but three of the runs were unearned. He gave up three hits and hit Lou Montanez with a pitch to surrender one run and load the bases before Robby Hammock dropped a two-out fly ball in left field that cleared the bases.
The pitchers on the black team have given up just two hits through five innings. Jamie Walker gave up one hit in a scoreless fourth inning and Dennis Sarfate retired all three batters he faced in the fifth.
Reliever George Sherrill pitched the fourth for the orange team and allowed a run on a leadoff single by Montanez, an errant pickoff throw, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly by Oscar Salazar.
Walker, Sarfate, Sherrill and Kam Mickolio all made their first competitive appearances of the spring. Mickolio just went out for the bottom of the sixth. The game is scheduled for seven innings.

Hey Pete have you noticed that pretty much every game in ST has had Montanez hitting and driving in runs?
Sad that he will probably be sent down.
The kid can hit
