Utility infield candidate Donnie Murphy hit a two-run home run in the bottom of the eighth to give the Orioles a 5-3 lead over the Boston Red Sox. Chris Waters pitched three innings to get the win and left-hander Wilfrido Perez pitched a scoreless ninth to get the save.

This was nice to see--I saw Murphy play quite a bit for the River Cats last year. He seemed like a good guy and he was one of the crowd favorites.
