Former Orioles star B.J. Surhoff arrived for his annual stint as a spring training instructor, and barely got settled before one of the young clubhouse attendants started to chide him about Maryland's big overtime win over North Carolina.
Surhoff, the former Tar Heel, was having none of it.
"You lost to Morgan State,'' he replied.
End of conversation.

No different than George Mason beating UNC, UCONN, and few other good team en route to thier Final 4. Morgan State is sorry. The Terps beat the Number #3 team in the Country (enough said) anyone can be beaten in Divison ONE BB.

As much as I love the Terps (BS 1987, PhD 1996, been a fan for over 30 years), some of you need to get a life. Steve, why exactly is BJ a bum, because he went to UNC? Back then, if I played baseball, I'd have definitely gone to UNC over UMD. The Terps were very bad in the '80's. Because he was a bad player? I beg to differ! There's a reason he's in the O's HOF. Being a fan doesn't mean losing your sense of humor (well, except when the Yankees or Duke is involved).
