Hernandez trade update
Apparently, the Ramon Hernandez deal is slightly sweeter for the Orioles than previously reported. The O's are believed to be getting two mid-level prospects and fourth outfielder Ryan Freel for Ramon.
Just waiting for an announcement. Gotta believe it will be soon, since I saw a club official (won't say which club) carrying around a stack of Ramon Hernandez stat and bio sheets.

Whats the deal with Carl pavano? Do you think he is worth the gamble?

Pete's reply: Depends on the price, of course.

Pete , I cant believe the O's found a taker for Ramon , even if O's have to subsidize the salary difference . Getting a utility OF/IF plus 2 mid-level prospects for him ? Even if none of them pan out , removing Ramon is good start to O's Offseason . Keep up the good work , MacPhail =)

The only thing that scares me about that is the Reds just signed Darnell McDonald and knowing our front office,he could be one of the mid level prospects.I heard they are sending Mike Flanagan to take a look at him.I mean look at that sweet deal we got for Javy Lopez, and they still haven't given a name to the player to be named for Chad Bradford.Or was that a future considerations deal?Never understood what that meant either.

To whom is he likely going?--If it were me I'd run the demo project now rather than playing stop-gap between now and forever,--Get rid of Mora, get value for Roberts and for godsakes don't bring back Millar.

Peter,
Justin "Red" Turner? How's your Titan pride, you old Cal State Fullerton grad?
I've never seen anyone who is physically or mentally tougher than Red Turner. You might remember him getting hit in the face against Stanford in the 2003 College World Series - a horrific injury that never seemed to phase him in the least. He has a huge heart and is a relentless competitor
