Indians tonight

The Cleveland Indians have arrived in town. Let's just hope they're not here to take back their pro football franchise. Hopefully, they're here to expand the strike zone and give Orioles starter Garrett Olson a little confidence boost in the series opener tonight at Camden Yards.

Thank heaven for small favors. Olson apparently will not have to face Travis Hafner, who will be one of the Indians' hottest hitters when he is activated from his injury rehabilitation assignment on Tuesday. He just led the Double-A Akron Aeros to victory in their best-of-five Eastern League playoff series against the Bowie Baysox, hitting a grand slam to provide the margin of victory in Game 3 and homering again in the clincher on Saturday.

I heard the Indians actually wanted Hafner to continue with his rehab...until somebody realized the Little League World Series ended a couple of weeks ago.

With the exception of the Seattle Series the Indians have been playing good ball and swinging the bats well. The season cant end soon enough for an o's fan.

will aubrey huff be in the lineup this week?.we've missed his bat!

Pete's reply: He should be back today. He was off for the birth of his first son.

I was incredibly disappointed to see a major-league slugger rehabbing during the AA playoffs. The Baysox had a great run this year, and it was aggravating to see Hafner blast their pitching. Nice to see that the Indians don't think he's ready to face Olson yet. Think they're scared he'd hit him?

After all this rehabilitation work at Double-A, hopefully the Indians will allow Pronk a little relaxation this offseason so he get in some hunting and fishing.

I suppose he's primed to do some shooting fish in a barrel.

Any word on Melvin Mora's status? Getting him back (along with Aubrey Huff) could make the last 3 weeks more interesting.

Pete's reply: I'm not at the ballpark right now, but I'll try to get an update.

So Aubrey had a baby. Good for him. Based on his radio statements I was wondering if he only had "relations" with himself

If the Baysox are in the playoffs next year we should send down Huff and Markakis for rehab ... maybe Guthrie too.
