Matt Albers reports to the minor league camp in Sarasota, Fla. on Monday to begin rehabbing his right shoulder. He won’t pick up a baseball for three to four weeks before doing some light throwing. He still hopes to return by late August or early September.“I'm pretty excited about it,” he said. “The tear in the labrum is pretty small, so as long as I get rid of all my other problems, I should be OK.”
Albers conceded that he still could undergo surgery if the pain doesn’t subside in four or five weeks. “But right now, we'll try to rehab it and take my time with it, make sure my shoulder feels better,” he said.

David Eckstein? Only if Blue Jays throw in some cash to cover at least half of his contract.

I dont like the rumor about picking up Eckstein, even if he cost a low level prospect...if they released him it would be one thing to try him out...but giving up any prospect for a 1/2 season rental for a questionable shortstop (whose defense doesnt seem to be any better than anyone we have) doesnt seem to be the smartest idea...
o also why would we give up a prospect to someone in our division...

Reimold and Wieters have homered for Bowie so far.
I see no reason to add Eckstien to this team. They already have a bunch of shortstops that can niether field nor hit, they do not need an older one that is injury prone and makes 4.5 million a year.

Just when I say "He's better than Fahey", Fahey triples. Go figure.
