Mystery pitcher

Manager Dave Trembley won't reveal Jeremy Guthrie's replacement today because the Blue Jays haven't named their pitcher.

Trembley joked that he could have Guthrie throw eight warm-up tosses and then remove him. Guthrie offered to keep pitching, even writing on the magnetic board that he'd get the last out in the sixth and see how his arm felt.

I'm predicting that Lance Cormier will take the ball, but that's only a hunch.

Who else would it be other than cormier? Their is no other option really.

Someone made an excellent point about calling up the Berg. I agree, but it won't happen. The FO wants to see if olson, burress, and liz can work through their problems.

My guess is Sarfate.

Scott McGregor! His pitch count is only at 1!!! And he is probably better that most of our starting staff at the young age of 54.

Let Guthrie finish it out

Roch: Any chance you could list the names of the 23 O's players from '83 who were introduced before yesterday's game? I live overseas and would have loved to attend. It would be nice to know who showed up. Thanks.

Guthrie is such a gamer! You gotta love that guy
