The lineups

You won't find Adam Jones in center field tonight, and manager Dave Trembley hopes it stays that way.

Trembley wants to rest Jones for a full nine innings, but the last time he tried to do it in Toronto, Jay Payton was ejected.

Payton was informed last night that'd he be starting in left field or center.

Also, you'll notice that Alex Cintron is starting again at shortstop. Trembley obviously is looking for more offense out of the position.

Brian Roberts - 2B

Nick Markakis - RF

Melvin Mora - 3B

Aubrey Huff - 1B

Kevin Millar - DH

Luke Scott - LF

Ramon Hernandez - C

Jay Payton - CF

Alex Cintron - SS

Brian Burres - P

AND FOR THE ASTROS:

Michael Bourn - CF

Kaz Matsui - 2B

Miguel Tejada - SS

Lance Berkman - DH

Carlos Lee - LF

Hunter Pence - RF

Ty Wigginton - 3B

Mark Loretta - 1B

Brad Ausmus - C

Shawn Chacon - P

Chad Bradford won't pitch tonight after going two innings last night.

What's the word on Cintron's arm? Is he up to playing every day at shortstop?

It is nice to have his bat in the lineup.

Was Payton also informed to keep his yap shut no matter what blind homer is calling balls and strikes tonight?

The Orioles just cost themselves big time. They should have signed Sir Sidney. I have his number tattooed on my back and I wanted him to come back.

I sat and cried all last night. I fell asleep in the early morning and missed my alarm. My boss told me I can't read a clock and that I will be fired next time I am late. My co-worker said I should be fired for crying about a baseball player. None of them understand.

Tonight I will summons all the arctic battle creatures for Trembely to make sure we win. Anyone know how to unblock channels on cable?

Did anyone see that Fox Sports' Dayn Perry has listed Dave Trembley as a Manager that is on the hot seat? http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/8261410/Who's-the-next-manager-to-get-the-axe?-
I am pretty offended by that, especially since the team has been playing so well compared to expectations.

Dave Trembley on the hot seat? Yeah, right!

How do you spell "Dayn Perry"?

L-O-S-E-R

You missed the point about Trembley. It's not Trembley that's the issue, it's Peter Angelos and his craziness with managers that has Dayne listing Trembley as "safe at the moment". What's bothersome is that he says that DT is doing an "adequate job" because the O's are playing .500 ball. I think we would all agree that .500 ball is a major accomplishment when most folks expected this team to lose a hundred games.

ghostwriter--No, I didn't miss it. Perry obviously isn't paying any attention to what's happening in Baltimore or he wouldn't write such nonsense. Say what you will about Angelos, but he isn't stupid. The Orioles have responded to Trembley in a big way, and the fans have responded to the Orioles exciting play. OPCY is becoming the place to be again, and that's good business!

Trembley is an easy choice at this point of the season to be the AL's Manager of the Year. The "experts" in the ranks of national sportwriters (including Perry, of course) laughed derisively at the chances of the Orioles this year, and few of them (including Perry, of course) are ready to admit they were wrong.

I agree with you that Perry calling Trembley's managing merely "adequate" is bothersome. Damning with faint praise, especially when we consider how this was supposed to be a horrible--maybe historically horrible--team. Which shows that Perry's problem with the O's isn't just Angelos; he just enjoys dissing the team.

Bottom line: No manager in the majors is less on the hot seat than Dave Trembley.

And Dayn Perry still = LOSER.
