Jay Payton - LF

Adam Jones - CF

Brandon Fahey - SS

Daniel Cabrera - P

Sure hope I'm wrong, but that does not look like a winning lineup. With Jones going through a bit of a slump, there is a significant hole at the bottom of that lineup. The last time the O's faced this pitcher, they won by one run, and that was with 9 batters, not 7 (or 6 if Jones doesn't have a good night).

Just asking--but how in the WORLD did Wieters fail to make the US team for the futures game?

I hope the O's make a trade for a SS

How do you leave both Huff and Scott out of the lineup, sorry, but they are your hottest hitters now. Sit Mora down. I don't like this line up.

Good luck, Brandon. We're in desperate need of a quality SS and this will be your opportunity to show them we don't need a .247 hitter from the Nats. (Not to knock on the twenty or so shortstops we've have this season, but someone with range would be nice.)

Thank goodness Fahey is back!

that is team USA for the olympics he is not on the olympic team so hes not in the futrues game which is pretty stupid if you ask me but thats your reason.

Tim, its a National League line-up. I for one wish the American League would go back to real baseball.

Seriously... how the h-e-double-toothpicks do you sit both Scott and Huff... that is absolutely absurd. I am sure it is just so that Mora doesnt start crying over playing time. Tell him to try a lick at SS- take one for the team- not this I am only a 3B. Huff had a great game yesterday and Scott is on a roll as well- I understand Payton being in but gimme a freegin break Mora over Huff? I hope Mora proves me wrong but if he pops up on one more first pitch fastball that is BALL I will FLIP! I sure hope DT knows what he is doing... we have a chance to put up some Ws and get well over .500-------

Only thing I see wrong with this lineup is that Huff is not in. He's batting almost .500! Keep him in! He's on fire.

But Huff could be a PH, anyway. Same with Scott. I think this is strategy by Trembley for the later innings to replace pitchers with these guys.

We'll see how the lineup does. Fahey is back! Let's see how he can perform now. Get your hit on, Brandon!

You can only take so much as a fan. Good by , good riddens. I hope your #1 pick hurts his arm. Hope Wieters gets staff. Hope Rowell gets hooked on crack. Hope Mac and The Brain [ Flan ] both get DWI's. That's it. That's not much to wish for , for sending my favorite player, Salazar packing. I'm done. I know most of you will agree with me. Roch does.

we are facing PEREZ, he's garbage.

I really don't like benching Huff & Scott, those guys have been raking & my boy AJ has been scuffling just a bit since playing very well against milwaukee.

But I'm not gonna sit here and second guess DT, he was pretty wise playing Payton against Lilly the other night...we all know how that worked out.

p is for Perez blows let's light him up y0!

So that gives us two lefties off the bench for pinch hitting, plus a switch hitter and our backup catcher for a righty swinger. And the lefties are two of our hotter hitters now. Not such a bad situation, actually. Odds are that Huff and Scott both bat at least once each, and it wouldn't surprise me to see them end up playing in the field also. Let's knock Perez out of the game early so D-Cab's utter lack of a clue what to do with a bat won't matter.

Geeeezzzzz...Brandon Fahey AGAIN? His lifetime average is .288...that's his SLUGGING percentage. His batting average and OP are worse (.221 and .284 if you're keeping score at home). For some perspective, Mark Belanger's career BA was .228, slugging was .280, and his OBP was .300. Of course, that was in an era where all those figures were lower than what they are now.

Just what we need...another futility infielder...

fine that Fahey's back, probably the best defense we'll get from that position this year, but Huff has got to play tonight. Lefty, defensive shortcomings, whatever, you can't sit him for Millar at all right now, he absolutely crushed it yesterday.

WTOP reported that the O's are interested in trading for Felipe Lopez from the Gnats to play SS.

Huff is on fire why sit him? And Scott should be playing, Jones and Mora are slumping right now.

here is something i thought i would NEVER say - i am glad Fahey is back!

how sad is our SS situation?!

also, why is Huff not in the lineup? Mora is getting worse by the day. Please, no comments about his "clutch hitting". it is just luck. the sample size is small. i bet by the end of the year, his average with RISP will match his current BA.

I'm all for Fahey at SS at least in platoon with Cintron, but why not send out Bukvich??? Salazar has been great off the bench.

It's not like Bukvich has been fooling the first batter he faces anytime he comes into a game... Let's just hope he doesn't come into the game with men on base... How do you spell grand slam home run??? I spell it... Bukvich...

"p" stands for the complete game we need pitched tonight!!!

I have to admit, I did not want to see Fahey . he is one of those guys who pads his batting average against inferior pitching and disappears against prime timers. However , Cintron is slow to react to the ball and will cost this team close games in the late innings. Let's hope Fahey shows up in one run games , inning 7 or 8.

If they have so little faith in Cintron's defense that they'll start Fahey against a lefty rather than put up with one more day of it, why bother keeping him on the roster? Salazar is a better bat off the bench and at least has a couple of positions he can play decently even if those positions are amply covered since Huff can also play them.

What a horrible decision. Play Oscar at short and see if he can handle it especially for tonights game. If he's that bad you bring in Cintron and make a move tomorrow. How can you leave OS rotting on the bench when he's been a spark for this team more than a couple of times.

I hope this is the last time BF gets to prove he doesn't belong in the major leagues. Bleh.

WHAT in the Sam Hill with this lineup ???

No Scott again - 2 games in a row - and no Huff ??

What happened to "hot-hitting Scott happy to not be out of the LHP lineup"

?????????

Scott & Huff are both hitting too well to be held to PH ...
makes no sense

To be an optimist, that lineup is the best we can put on the field defensively and for the first time I can ever remember we actually have good hitters available on the bench.

Mora is 0-14 so yeah I'd pick the guy with the OPS over 1.000 for the month. But thats me. Of course I'd PH for Payton when a Right handed pitcher comes into the game.

Thank goodness Brandon is back. He's the best defensive ss we have, and if Trembly plays him regularly he will get his bat on. as for this guy-

"I have to admit, I did not want to see Fahey . he is one of those guys who pads his batting average against inferior pitching and disappears against prime timers."

First homerun in the bigs off of Schilling. Yeah, he's inferior as mlb pitchers go.

Buddy I bet you're fat and never played sports in your life...go back to your play station and fantasy league
