Delayed debut
You'll have to wait another day to see Matt Wieters at Double-A Bowie. The Baysox's game against Altoona was postponed because of rain.
Wieters was supposed to bat fifth tonight.
Jay Gibbons struck out on three pitches in his first at-bat for the Long Island Ducks tonight against the York Revolution.
You already know that Aubrey Huff isn't in the Orioles' lineup. But did you know he's got 24 hits in his last 55 at-bats, with eight doubles, five homers and 13 RBIs in 13 games?
Asked to name a key of the game for Daniel Cabrera tonight, manager Dave Trembley said, "Get three at-bats."
That'll mean Cabrera has pitched deep into the game.
The Nationals have finally taken the field.
Hopefully, they'll bring it back.

Comments
Either deep into the game or the O's score a ton o' runs for him.

I have no idea why Trembley wrote up this line-up tonight.
On another topic, Cabrera looked fine with his velocity in the 1st, but the Nats hitters were just getting line drives. Anybody wonder if something's with Cabrera too?
I don't want to say anything that would mean bad news but it seems Cabrera is pitching decent but there's been 4 hits already. Ah, it's early in the game though.
Let's get some runs!

It's because you're so popular, Roch! And at least you're on my blog roll...

This has gotta be the worst camera work by MASN to date. That includes that game in Kansas City with that wind/rain. At least we get Buck.

Why does Trembley continue to sit Huff? He is on fire. He's now sat out three of the last 5 games. After he sat out the last game his timing was off and he had 4 bad at bats. Why not sit Mora and his .233 average and play Huff at third? He's hitting both lefties and righties and Mora needs to sit. Trembley is overmanaging and is too loyal to Mora.

Mr. Baseball, I agree with you. Mora is struggling to hit the inside pitch. I believe age is catching up with him.

Gotta pin this loss on Tembley, you bench two hot hitters, and I told my dad before the game started we'll be lucky to score two runs with this lineup.God why do they think Fahey is a major league ballplayer and send Salazar down, unreal. And we gave them two out of the four runs in the outfield, and Fahey trying to stretch that single into a double cost us big time, changed the whole inning.Utter stupidity from the manager on down.

Gotta pin this loss on Trembley with that horrible lineup, still can't believe somebody thinks Fahey is a major league ballplayer. Two boneheaded plays in the outfield,a baserunning blunder,a terrible lineup, and the failure to bunt the runner or runners over twice in the game cost us.Nationals 4,Trembley 2.That's 2 games in a row Cabrera deserved to win.Let's see if Huff and Scott are benched tomorrow.

What's with Mora continuing to play and Scott and Huff sitting? Does Melvin have some pictures of Trembley in a brothel or something? Mora looks totally lost at the plate and when he did hit the ball, he ended the ninth inning rally with a DP.

Maybe if O's start losing , Trembley would be forced to bench someone [ Mora? Millar? ] soon. Loyalty to veterans are noble , but the team comes FIRST .

Agree on much said here.
Lineup-pathetic tonight.
Fahey again is just plain sad. He is and always will be a symbol of our minor league futility.
Salazar deserves a better shot.
2 homers that were big and bye bye.
Keep on trading for arms.
You simply can not have too many.
Hayden Penn? PLEASEEEEEE
