If you need a positive sign...
The Orioles are 4-0 when Daniel Cabrera gives up a run in the first inning.
There's still hope.
As long as we're speculating about Tuesday's starter in Minnesota, it's worth noting that Radhames Liz was scheduled to pitch tonight for Triple-A Norfolk. Now it's Zach Clark (UMBC).
Could the Orioles be holding Liz out of the game in case they need him in Minnesota?

In the last 3 years i have never seen Nick take so many good pitches for called 3rd strikes. He is on pace for a very high strikout total this year, he just doesn't look like a very confident hitter, He took a 3rd strike in the 3rd inning that was right down the middle of the plate.

I really believe Markakis is having trouble seeing the ball. Someone should have his eyes checked!

In the 7th inning, Markakis lets one go by that in the past he would crush, and another that he fouls off that he would have crushed, then strikes out on a pitch out of the strike zone. He needs to see an eye doctor, he isn't seeing the pitches or he is looking off the ball and missing it.

Well, if the team won't send L. Hernandez down, then they need to send Cintron down. This is getting ridicurous.
I wonder if Tillman would be up to a one time spot start, just for poops and chuckles. Why don't they give it to someone more deserving than Liz?

I hate to keep harping on this , but it is very evident that nick doesn't have a clue right now. Between him and adam jones we don't get anything from them lately. At least people will give adam the benefit of the doubt, but after 52 games i thought he would show more power and at least drive the ball more then he does. What ashame

I'd really like to see Albers get another start after performing so well in his last spot-start. I know he's done a great job as the long man out of the bullpen, but he really deserves another chance in the rotation, especially if the Orioles aren't going to pitch Trachsel anymore.

I wonder how much of this hitting slump is really due to Nick's annoyance about his contract?
