The lineup
Brian Roberts - 2B
Melvin Mora - 3B
Nick Markakis - RF
Kevin Millar - 1B
Aubrey Huff - DH
Luke Scott - LF
Adam Jones - CF
Ramon Hernandez - C
Brandon Fahey - SS
Adam Loewen - P
Loewen's last bullpen session was rated his best by pitching coach Rick Kranitz and bullpen coach Alan Dunn.
If you look closely, you might notice something different about Loewen on the mound. He's holding his hands higher up when he comes to a set.
Manager Dave Trembley was going to remove Mora from last night's game, but the third baseman said he wanted another at-bat, and Trembley gave it to him. Mora hit a home run.

Comments
I was looking for a pinch hitter for Luis Hernandez in the second inning. Too soon?
Big start for Loewen. I think it will tell us a lot about whether he can answer the bell. The team needs him right now. A gamer will step it up.

That's a pretty uplifting factoid about Mora last night.

Why not switch Huff & Millar between 1B & DH from time to time to give Millar's old legs a rest? Plus you keep Huff marketable as a 1B.

Roch, Do you know, by any chance, if an attempt was made to retrieve the ball that Adam Jones hit as his first Orioles homer? Of course, maybe he doesn't think it exactly qualifies as a keepsake coming on this team.

Loewen needs to start pitching well, if this rotation will ever compete hard enough. It's obvious that we have the worst starting pitching rotation in MLB and yet we're still standing at the top of the AL East, which im happy about, but they need to improve their pitching if they wanna stay at the top.

Yup, definitely need decent start from Loewen tonight, hopefully he'll show up. On a side note, I think I saw Markakis nodding off in the outfield last night waiting for Trachsel to pitch the ball.

Roch............Ravens draft a cornerback first , that is , if Ryan doesn't fall in their lap.................I'm more concerned about the starting q-back this year , than the draft , have you seen the schedule , brutal.......all of a sudden the Ravens are in a tough division , much like the O's.............

Not sure about his hands coming set higher, but the ball seemed to leave the yard a little higher...
Now warming up in the bullpen, Roch Kubatko!!

In regards for rooting against people we have traded away (Bedard, Tejada, Pappas) don't you think it puts us in a better position for the next trade if they do well in their new home? If it looks like we always get the better of it, we won't have many trading partners.
