Jake Arrieta
The Frederick Keys played an early game today, and Jake Arrieta was sensational again.
Arrieta blanked Wilmington over seven innings, striking out eight. He's fanned at least eight batters in three of his six professional starts.
I talked to a scout from another organization earlier today who insists that Arrieta will move quickly through the system and reach the majors in rapid fashion. And he'll be a steal in the fifth round.

I haven't been able to post on the site really (my job blocked "message boards") but I just wanted to voice something very clearly.
KEEP SPENDING $$$$$$$$$ ON THE DRAFT.

Marc C -- I didn't see it! Men can hug each other though. As long as it doesn't lead to anything else, all is good.
alo -- that play by the ball boy was the best I've seen in a long time. A little too much, but entertaining for sure.
My younger brother sent me an email today. He found a little quote on this blog and he thought it was quite amusing... (he's not a big fan of the O's but he knew I would enjoy it) I thought I'd pass it along to all you boo birds!
And I quote:
"The Orioles are baseball's version of being constipated -- you keep waiting for the s**t to happen, but it still hasn't come."
I am easily amused, but this was flipping funny because its sooooo true.
