Crunching some numbers
Orioles starters have posted a 10.65 ERA in two games. But the bullpen hasn't allowed a run in 7 2/3 innings.
At least I was right when I wrote today that Nick Markakis would go 2-for-4. Do I get partial credit?
The U.S. Army just received $800 for its Emergency Relief Fund, thanks to Jamie Walker's appearance and three strikeouts.

This is awesome.....I'm looking at gameday on mlb.com and listening to FM Talk at the same time. Gameday is a step ahead of Joe Angel and Fred Manfra, but I'm lovin it!
Oh gotta go, Sherrill is closing.

Roch, Is there a seven second delay on the radio? MLB is way out in front of FM Talk. No wait, it's a ten second delay. I always thought there wasn't a delay.

Wow, gameday on mlb.com is way better than gamecast on espn.go.com. I used to look at gamecast the last two years with no radio.
I prefer gameday now with Joe Angel and Fred Manfra.
This is like a new toy and it's no even my birthday.

First star goes to Huff. Second star goes to the bullpen. Third star to Roberts. Cabrera owes a star with interest.
Sherrill is the real deal. Jones can rip. Loved the comeback. We need to cherish each win.

Keep booing Huff. Can't hurt with 4 RBIs.

Maybe now we can just cheer for our team. I wonder how many people turned this one off after the top of the first?

Deke - You mention that this is the fourth straight year that Cabrera has regressed. More power to you if you can make that determination after one game in the 2008 season?

bill in elkton, what happened to masn in your area?
if i did that, i'd start getting frustrated by seeing how inaccurate the play by play is sometimes.

Steve, I don't have extended cable from Comcast so I don't get MASN. Last year I paid one month for it when the Orioles were red hot the start of the year. The second I bought it the O's went belly up. So you see it's really my fault the Orioles were so bad last year. I can't enjoy something so good because it's for the good of the team.

Steve, And another thing. I grew up listening to Orioles baseball on WBAL radio as a kid with Chuck "Ain't the beer cold" Thompson so it doesn't bother me too much. Yes I prefer watching it on MASN, but to hear Fred Manfra of Fallston and Joe Angel give play by play now keeps me "IN THE WIN COLUMN."

Isn't this kinda how last year started off...starters struggling...bullpen redhot...then overused...then struggling...then...well..
But last night sure was fun!! Way to go, Huff!
S for gotta start somewhere.
