Back to 13 pitchers
And one of them isn't Greg Aquino, who never made it out of April.
The Orioles have designated Aquino for assignment. They also optioned Brandon Fahey to Triple-A Norfolk and brought up two pitchers - Garrett Olson, who starts tonight, and reliever Bob McCrory, another "Tommy John" success story.
I'm heading down to the clubhouse, but I'll have more later.

Comments
hello Bob McCrory, welcome. Make yourself comfortable, stay as long as you'd like.

Bravo, Mr. MacPhail. Fahey and Aquino were clearly the weakest links, and Olson and McCrory were the best pitchers at Norfolk. Here's hoping that Olson and McCrory don't have to go back!

McCrory coming up is another typical...rush them too soon... move by the O's. He should remain at AAA as the closer at least for a few more months, if not until Sept call ups. He may work out, but it the risk worth it? Under the circumstances, the other moves make sense. Olson goes back if he nibbles or struggles if I am the guy in charge.

Roch, you should ask the guys coming up if anyone on the Tides was affected by the tornados that hit Suffolk, Va. That city is very close to downtown Norfolk & the Tides stadium. It's like Glen Burnie to the Yawn.....

One thing is for sure, Trembley is learning for Perlazzo's mistake. He will not allow his bullpen to be over worked.

Is there NOBODY in Norfolk with any power? We have/had 3 middle infielder/utility players on the roster who look like they are only getting one meal a day. God help us when Freddie Bynum comes back.

Great to see McCrory get an opportunity. Power guy who hopefully throws strikes.

Is the move bringing McCrory up any indication that they have an early deal in the works for Sherrill?
