Adam Loewen so far
So whatever happened to Guillermo Quiroz being paired with Adam Loewen?
And whatever happened to quick first innings?
Loewen threw 27 pitches in the first, one of them transformed into a three-run homer by Jim Thome.
Loewen's fastball is registering at 92 mph, so his velocity is fine at this point in the season. The location is leaving a little something to be desired, however.
I'm just relieved that the ribbon boards are working properly tonight and we're getting the radar readings. At this point, I would have settled for it trying to guess your weight.
Loewen had a much better second inning, retiring the side in order and striking out Nick Swisher.
Luke Scott collected another hit. No way!

Comments
Remember the Adam Loewen who beat the Yankees twice for two of his three 2006 wins? We need to get that guy back ASAP.

Can't hit. Just too many guys in that lineup who's best days are long gone,
and one who is not going to have any.
How is Fahey on this team?
Silly. How bad is the farm system when you have not one player better for his spot. And you can't hide him because the rest of them are having troubles of their own.
I like the FO's patience, but at the same time, the sooner they clean house, the better. And they'll save a few bucks while they're at it.
How many guys on that team wouldn't you trade?

When you only give up 3 runs you are suppose to win. I agree with Jim , to many automatic outs on this team. Actually all in all the pitching has been pretty good so far. Just don't have enough bats in this order . When roberts doesn't get on the orioles are in for a bad night. It's only going to get worse , but we all knew that . Oh well

bob,,,,,,,,,,,,good one , I haven't heard 'automatic outs' since little league,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,actually the O's remind me of my little league team except they have a good right fielder................
