Cleanup hitter hurt?
Kevin Millar just got drilled on the left hand by a Russ Springer pitch in the fifth inning and left the game.
Head athletic trainer Richie Bancells reached Millar in about four seconds. Millar was in obvious pain. He leaped in the air and was pacing in circles. He's headed to the clubhouse, and I'll pass along updates as they become available.
Mike Costanzo replaced Millar at first base. He's wearing No. 18 today because he left his No. 66 jersey in Fort Lauderdale. At least he didn't drive back to get it.

Wow, this is how things can turn on a dime! I hope Millar's hand is only bruised, but even if that's the case, he could start the year on the DL. If something's broken, then he's gone for a while.
This could help Payton, Moore, Redman or even Roberson make the opening-day roster.

It says on the o's website that Ramon Hernandez changed his number to 18, is this true?

How great would it have been with Mike Costanzo and David Newhan on the same team? Wonder if the O's have any Larry Seinberg's or Ellen Bennet's in the front office? Cue the TV show!
