Losing 1-0 in the fourth
If the Orioles lose this game, 1-0, Daniel Cabrera can spend the rest of the night, and most of tomorrow, wondering how he let Alex Cora beat him.
Cora pulled a 2-2 curveball into the right field seats in the third inning for his first home run this season. Cabrera had struck out Manny Ramirez with a 95 mph fastball to end the first and Jason Varitek with a 96 mph fastball to end the second.
Then he hangs a curevball to Alex Cora.
Cabrera retired Julio Lugo for the second out and started walking toward the dugout. Realizing that nobody else was following him, he stopped abruptly and headed back to the mound.
Oops.

Ugh, this in and out audio from MASN is so annoying!!!! The only thing worse is lack of HD - is there any hope for either of these issues to be addressed this season? I don't know why, but for some reason I suspect we will come back and take this one 3-2

how bad is the boston invasion tonight?

It would be nice to see the Orioles have a home game against Boston or NY in the next 5 years.
101 pitches through six. Probably another starter who won't make it through 7.

MASN sucks is the conclusion I have come to after careful consideration.

At least MASN works. I'm in Boston watching on NESN, which has gone black as of 30 minutes ago, and still doesn't work.

anyone else a little worried to see DCab back in for the 7th after throwing over 100 pitches and walking 2 in the 6th?

We had no one in the pen with better numbers than Walker and Bradford had against Ortiz and Manny. I'm not blaming Walker because he battled, but come on. That check he cashes every 15 days is payment for getting out Giambi, Ortiz and Matsui.

Man, the bullpen is really off their game tonight. They can't throw ANYTHING in the strike zone. I know they're two of the more used pitchers in the bullpen, but they can't be tired out THIS quickly.

Nice premonition Bill 85. Cabrera was struggling, but Sam probably thought it would be good for his confidence to try for the win anyway. Kind of like he is leaving Bradford in now. I would award you the manage the O's for a Day prize if the organization would be wise enough to institute such a competition.

Disappointing to see so many walks, and DCab not able to finish off the weaker hitters before he even got to the heart of the lineup. I think he's good enough to stop all of these walks. He should have been taken out after the first batter.

So Cabrera was over 100 pitches and was missing his spots in the 6th, yet Sam keeps him in despite knowing that he possibly could be setting up Ortiz and Ramirez?!?!?!?
Then, brings in the Walker and Bradford who have horrible numbers vs. these two.
That FireSamPerlozzo website just got more credible.

Jim - you could see it a mile away....Sammy would leave cabrera in just long enough to have men on base so that walker and bradford would fail. Good managers put their players in position to succeed not fail....
