Suggs talks about roughing-the-passer penalties
Q: Is Tom Brady joking when he says he gets favorable treatment from the officials?
TERRELL SUGGS: "He is telling the truth. I think certain quarterbacks do get certain favoritism in this league, and I think he's one of them. He's been a good player for so long, he's going to get that. So hopefully maybe I'll get that in years to come."
Q: Does it affect the way you play defense?
SUGGS: "No. We're an aggressive defense. We're going to play the way we play regardless. If the referees got a problem with the way we playing, tell them to change some more of them rules. We're going to continue to play the way we know."
Q: What will you do if a similar situations comes up like the one where you were flagged in New England three months ago?
SUGGS: "If it's legal, I'm going to run into the quarterback as fast as I can and as hard as I can. I'm not really concerned about about it. I've got to do my job. As long as it's legal, I'm going to do my job."
Q: Looking back at that play, what is your take on it?
SUGSS: "It's kind of iffy. They say err on the side of the quarterback. What I would say to my teammates is, let's not put it in the hands of the referees. We'll play our style and play physical."
Q: Do you think it's more about protecting the quarterbacks like Brady and Peyton Manning?
SUGGS: "I think it might be a little bit of both. I think they're definitely protecting Brady and Peyton, and some other people in the league, maybe even Drew Brees. I think [Brady] got hurt last year, and the front office didn't like that. So they're trying to do everything they can to protect him any way they can."

Gotta love the NFL for protecting "Their" QB's. One QB like Tom gets injured and all of a sudden major rule changes happen. BS.

Of course Ian, and don't forget the T.O. Rule, no horsecollar tackles.
