Steelers priming former Raven for insider info?

News that the Pittsburgh Steelers had signed former Ravens cornerback Corey Ivy drew smiles from his former teammates Wednesday.

But a few Ravens -- who welcome the Steelers to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday night -- agreed that Ivy’s value in terms of providing inside information might be a little overstated.

"With every team, you’re going to see a foundation under the offense," wide receiver Mark Clayton said. "From that, you have your variations, and we certainly have our variations that don’t allow you to really just key in on our stuff. So I can’t say that it’ll help much."

Similarly, cornerback Frank Walker said that Ivy might not have much information regarding the Ravens defense, which has changed since last season.

"Everything changes from year to year," Walker said. "We’ve got a completely different defensive coordinator from last year. So you can say what you want, but the reality is that it may be the same concept with different people, but you never know. … To a certain extent, he’s going to tell them what he knows or what he thinks he knows – which any player would do."

Well, the signing of Ivy gives the Ravens information on the Steelers' defense. Throw at Ivy, early and often.

What's he going to tell them that isn't already obvious from watching any Ravens game? The secondary is weak, the D-Line doesn't get much push up the middle, Ray Lewis can't cover anybody, and Joe Flacco mainly only throws to Mason and Rice.

He's only going to play on special teams. There's no way, baring injury, he gets to see the field otherwise.

The Steelers beat the crap out of the Ravens three times last year; why would they need Corey Ivy to get "inside" info? Most of all, when is someone going to tell Frank Walker about the Ravens defense? It's obvious he doesn't have a clue.

Corey Ivy? Information? LOL! He should be good for a few block in the back penalties on Special Teams!

really?? down to the wire all three contest

"The Steelers beat the crap out of the Ravens three times last year". Here's another over-inflated statement by a squeelers fan. Go back and look at the scores. They were all close games so don't over-hyping your over-hyped team as you already have enough band wagon jumpers across the country that do that, which you probably are too. We want you to overlook us.

All you have to do is watch ANY Ravens game and you quickly realize throw the football and you have a pretty good chance of winning the game. QB sneak!!
