Rolle still deciding

Samari Rolle is still on the team's physically-unable-to-perform list after undergoing fusion neck surgery last month -- the second time in less than a year that the cornerback has undertaken such a procedure.

Rolle said Sunday he still hasn't made up his mind about his future with the Ravens and in the NFL.

"Not like that," he said. "I’m just waiting to see how it feels. I just wanted to be around the guys. I know this was a big game today, and I just feel badly for them because we played well enough to win."

When I asked him if he felt like the neck was improving, Rolle replied, "I’ve had it twice in less than a year. So I don’t really know what feels regular. So I’ll just go with that."

Rolle was in the Ravens' locker room after Sunday's 17-15 loss to the Indianapolis Colts and said being around his teammates made him wistful about playing football once again.

"To be in here with these guys, we’ve got a good team here," he said. "Things just haven’t gone our way, but you feel like if you were out there, you could help in a way, too. That’s what makes it hard. I know I can still play."

Its called retire! Should not even consider any other option.

Samari, your health should be your first priority. You should retire rather than play russian roulette with a neck injury.

I agree with your comment TJ but does that mean we should encourage Ed Reed to retire after the season?

We need corners. We need Rolle. If you feel good, please come back to us!

Retire already.

And yes Andy, I think this is Ed's last season.

Andy, if Reed's injury gets to the point where it could affect his value of life after football, yes. I don't know if Samari is really at that point, but it sure sounds that way.
