O's Markakis takes 21 kid patients to Ravens practice

Nick Markakis' Right Side Foundation took 21 pediatric patients from Mount Washington Pediatric Hospital to Owings Mills today for a day at the Ravens' practice facility.

It is the third event the Orioles' outfielder has sponsored under his Fund for 21 program.

Previously, Markakis and his wife Christina have taken underprivileged or sick kids from Maryland-based organizations to the ESPN Zone and the aquarium in June, and to Oriole Park in September.

The children watched part of the Ravens' Friday practice, got a tour of the facility and had lunch.

"NICE JOB" TO NICK AND HIS WIFE for caring about our kids

What a wonderful thing for Nick and Christina to do... I wish these sort of stories made the headlines.

Thank you for sharing this.
