Not much difference between Browns' Quinn, Anderson

Brady Quinn or Derek Anderson? It really makes no difference who the Browns start at quarterback Monday. When you're deciding between two, that really means you don't have a good one. The Ravens should want to see Quinn. He has a pea-shooter of an arm, and throws a lot of short passes. Anderson can go deep, which means the Browns have a 50-/50 chance of making the catch. Well, against the Ravens cornerbacks, it might be 75/25 in favor of making the catch.

Quinn doesn't have a "pea shooter" of an arm. You obviously don't know football. Get a clue.

@ TheNaturalMevs: You are right, only in that you are wrong. No, Quinn doesn't have a "pea-shooter" arm. That would be an insult to toy guns and pellet rifles everywhere. He has a sorry, rotten, decayed, limp, pathetic excuse for an arm that is an embarrassment to anyone that has ever played the QB position at any level. That is why he was pulled in the first place. If you think Quinn has an NFL-caliber arm, then it is YOU sir, that doesn't have a clue about football.

Has Quinn even really gotten a shot in Cleveland. Seems like they're switching every week.

If Quinn has such a pea shooter of an arm and is so pathetic, why did Ozzie Newsome call him personally on draft day and tell him that he would would be a Raven if he fell the their pick in the first round or if they could move up to take him?

Oz, man, that's a little naive. You NEVER believe ANYTHING leading up to and on draft day. It was roundly reported that Cleveland wanted Quinn but that they needed Thomas more. That phone call from Ozzie very well could have been to agitate Cleveland into a move from an early second round selection into the mid-late 1st round to snare Quinn before Baltimore - at the time, the division opponent who most needed to draft a young QB to learn the game while McNair finished his career - had the chance to pass on Quinn like every other team had done. Ozzie very well could have tried to bamboozle Cleveland once again.

What did the Clowns get? A Kyle Boller wanna-be, and they paid a high price at that! They traded their 2nd round selection that day and their 1st round pick for the following year to Dallas to move up. ahead of the Ravens. Think about that with a black hat on - you've just suckered Cleveland into drafting a 4th round quarterback with a 1st round pick, while conning them into giving up other high draft picks in the process. That's not a bad way to sabatoge their team.

Meanwhile, that 2nd round pick that Cleveland gave up that year was used by Dallas to make a trade with Philly. Philly then turned that pick into Kevin Kolb, who just lit it up earlier in the season while McNabb was injured.

Would you tell me that Quinn is a better quarterback than Kolb?

Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn resemble a vicious circle. They are willing participants in a charade. We should outright cut them, for playing with decent peoples´ affinities. If Quinn moves the ball better then Anderson I don’t know why we would ever go back to DA. As far as the QB coach helping call plays, well he knows his QBs and knows what their strengths and weaknesses are. It might be alright.
