Jamison, Do you think that the fact the Ravens lead the league in penalty yards is a reflection on an undisciplined team, or is there an unfair microscope on the Ravens, for whatever reasons, when it comes to the referees making calls? The Bengals got away with blatant holding all game, then Gaither gets called twice in the second half, while trying to mount a comeback. This seems to happen week in and week out.

What GAither got called for all linemen do all the time, it does seem the Ravens get a disproportionate share of these calls that go against them! However they do seem a little more undisciplined then last year, they were more hard nosed and disciplined in 2008 and the more they lose the worse it will get.The Ravens do not look fudamentally sound this year for some reason. The defense is constantly out of position and they still look confused most of the time to me. This leads me to believe as I have said at least 1000 times that Mattison is not a pro caliber defensive coordinator. It would be nice to see him succeed for the r=Ravens sake but we don't see improvement from week to week. Also if a team cannot get up for a must win game such as the Bengals game you have to look at the head coach, he is the one responsible for making sure his team is ready, this Ravens team was not ready and looked ill-prepared, that is not a good sign.
