Heap listed as questionable

Ravens tight end Todd Heap did not participate in Friday's practice after all, and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts with a rib injury. Defensive tackle Haloti Ngata (ankle) had limited participation, but insisted after the practice that he would play against the Colts.

Already listed as out are linebacker Terrell Suggs and special teamer Matt Lawrence, both with knee injuries.

Center Matt Birk (neck), quarterback Joe Flacco (knee), and linebackers Tavares Gooden (concussion) and Jarret Johnson (shoulders) practiced today and are probable.

The Colts' lengthy injury list lists five players as out and six as questionable. Among those who will miss the game are defensive backs Kelvin Hayden (knee) and Aaron Francisco (ankle) and wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez (knee). Among the questionables are defensive end Dwight Freeney (hip), safety Antoine Bethea (foot) and wide-out Pierre Garcon (ankle).

Freeney and Garcon both had full participation in Friday's practice, however.

Poor Todd Heap....I remember when he started...he was so tough...he caught every ball thrown to him and took vicious shot after vicious shot because of Billick brain and fireman heartthrob Boller....now he's taking more shots thanks to hype without substance heartthrob Flacco....I hope that when he retires Billick, Boller and Flacco help him with the numerous medical bills they will have left him with.

Poor Todd Heap? Give me a break. The guy is brittle at best. Every other tight end around the league gets battered and still plays. Every watch Miller from the Steelers? You'll see another one today in Dwight Clark. How about Shannon Sharpe when he played? Look at Todd Mr Brittle Heap throughout his career. Show me the YAC he picks up? Every single time he catches the ball he gets tackled without picking up yards. A stinking 175lbs safety bowls him over. Every single time; never fails; just watch the films. Catches a pass, gets upended. Catches a pass, gets upended. Catches a pass, gets upended. Like clockwork. Derrick Mason played last season with a dislocated shoulder and continued to catch the ball, get pounded, came out for one play and was back in. Then there is Todd Mr Brittle Heap. Catches a pass, gets upended after no YAC, falls to the ground with yet another boo boo.

And then there was John Mackey, the best tight end in NFL history, who would carry an entire defense on his back picking up extra yards. Not Todd Mr Brittle Heap. Catches the ball, gets bowled over, gets boo boo.

Make that Dallas Clark, not Dwight. My bad. Easy to confuse good receivers as oppose to those who catch, drop, get boo boo.

AGREE! too much high throw pass in the middle for him, boller and even flacco sacrifice heap health! i know tight end are supposed to go in the middle, but for sake put the ball through his numbers not above his head! the safeties always wait for the big hit with this kind of poor throw...
