Hauschka tries out for Falcons
A week after being cut by the Ravens, Steve Hauschka was one of four kickers who worked out for the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday.
It looks like the Falcons are thinking about replacing Jason Elam. The 39-year-old kicker has missed six field goals this season after making 29 of 31 attempts in 2008.
Besides Hauschka, the other kickers who tried out for Atlanta were: Brandon Coutu, Sam Swant and Shane Andrus.

he'll probably get a try out in Houston too. Kris Brown is off, to say the least.

Good for him.
As long as he doesn't try out for the Steelers, Packers, Lions, Bears, or Raiders.

I heard that when Ozzie called him in his office to realease him, the kid got so upset that he kicked the trash can in Ozzie's direction, but it missed Ozzie wide to the left.

I'm happy for Hauschka. He really may be a good kicker in the league but the Ravens couldn't wait for him. Remember, Stover didn't do to well in the beginning of his career either

this is great. it's just what the kid needs to build his confidence back. he should feel good that within a week he got a call from another NFL team.
good luck, Steve!

The falcons have solved the problem by placing the goalpost on rollers so they can be pushed to the right whenever he kicks......however tragicaly he did lose his endorsement deal with Victoria secret for their new playtex sports wonderbras.....
