Final Wednesday practice report

Ray Lewis (foot), Matt Birk (neck), Ed Reed (foot), Terrell Suggs (knee) and L.J. Smith (illness) did not participate in practice yesterday, according to the Ravens. Todd Heap (chest) and Haloti Ngata (ankle) practiced, but with limited participation. Jarret Johnson was also listed on the injury report with a shoulder issue, but he participated fully.

According to the Steelers, Ben Roethlisberger practiced without limitation despite concussion-like symptoms after Sunday's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Ben's first snap from center could be his last, I would drop zero in coverage and send the house. If he survives that - It will set the tone for the rest of the game and next man up at the QB position whats his name? Good Luck, Nice to see the steelers care more about winning one more game than they do about keeping their QB around for the rest of the season. I feel the love !

I agree - Send the house & keep sending them until they knock him out of the game.

The NFL better do a better job with these guys. Concussions are a very serious issue, and obviously you never want to see anyone have long term damage.

Have Freddy Krugar run wild!

Ain't nothing wrong with Big Ben. Notice how everytime he has to play us, there is always some manufactured injury that pops up. Ben is a big dopey looking honky.

The Steeler offense will make holiday mincemeat of the aging and injured Raven defense on Sunday.

"Steeler offense", that's funny! They are offensive, but not in terms of production. They may be playing against an aging and injured defense, granted, but the squealers offense is nothing to be proud of. It all starts with a below average offensive line. Folks, it's possible that the only team that makes the playoffs from the AFC North is the Bengals, amazing. However, a win by the Ravens over Pittsburgh leaves the Ravens with at least a 50/50 chance of making the playoffs. At the same time, a Pittsburgh loss means they must beat the Ravens in the rematch and really need to run the table to ensure a playoff birth. If you want to make the playoffs in the AFC, you better be 11-5 this year. I think there are going to be two teams at 10-6 that do not make the playoffs.

I keep hearing that our defense is old or aging so I decided to go out to ESPN and look at both teams depth charts and look at the starters ages. The defenses base 3-4 D the following players on the Ravens are 30+ Price, Greg, Reed and Lewis. On the Steelers base 3-4 D the following players are 30+ Keisel, Farrior. Harrison, Carter and Towsend. So there are more starts on the Steelers over 30+ than the Ravens. As far as injuries are concerned we have one player questionable (Reed) and one (probable) Lewis. The Steelers have one player probable and that’s the QB at a position with no depth! I guess you don’t miss the shampoo slinger these days eh? Here’s a thought before you make uniformed statements about the teams take a moment and check your facts.

KVV is reporting on injuries now? He can't turn injuries into a fifteen page story? What is becoming of this paper.

I expect 3 paragraphs on LJ Smiths illness by 5 PM. And another 5 paragraphs on JJ's shoulder issue.

This has got to be, by far, the shortest piece ever written by KVV. EVER.

But seriosusly, you should write about how idiodic it is to play Big Ben, concussions are serious, look at all the old ball players who have serious mental issues now. No doubt from too much head trauma. It's football, yes, but it's also just a game, and these are peoples lives.

People love to say Players like Hines Ward "play hard" but but some say they play reckless with other peoples lives. All it takes is one of those blindside helmet to helmet hits to ruin someones career. It is more than possible to take someone one oult of a play without taking someone out of the game. Could it still happen? SURE! But the probability of a serious injury happining is greatly reduced. You just won't get on sportscenter.

Sadly, Our Ravens have no confidence this season. They lost the last of it when the Bengals and Cedric ran all over them.
The margin in the NFL is so thin confidence is everything.
They do not believe they can beat any quality team now.
And they certainly do not believe they can beat the mighty Steelers!
The Ravens are still sore from getting humped for a 3rd time in the championship game last year.
Sadly, Harbaugh is a fraud. Rex Ryan was the coach last year and Bart Scott was everything.
RIP Crows, RIP
