Rolle appears in neck brace at Ravens facility

Ravens cornerback Samari Rolle was at the team's training facility in Owings Mills Monday, but he was also wearing a neck brace. Rolle is also still under doctor's orders not to drive, so it doesn't appear he will be on the field in week No. 7.

Because of a neck injury, Rolle was placed on the physically unable to perform list early in the season, which means he couldn't play in the first six games. It's unlikely that Rolle will play this season. He had another neck surgery about two weeks ago.

Demetrius Williams should of been cut instead of Curtis.

I wish him the best , it's too bad , I thought he might play the second half of the year and replace Chris Carr . who certainly needs replaced.............

Forget this season. I just hope Rolle can have a fully functioning life following both of these neck surgeries. Too many NFL players go on to barely move after they retire. Better to lose an extra game or two...

Remember when we used to complain about "Sorry" Rolle? That wasn't long ago at all. It's like all the fans who complained about Felix Pie until he started playing really well in the 2nd half. Probably in a few years we'll be wishing we still had Foxworth, Carr, and Clayton.

Mike,
Isn't he under orders not to drive for the forseeable future due to his medically-controlled epilepsy?

Why is D.Williams on the roster? We need a pass rusher, & paul Kruger was the best in camp!, even compared to Mike McCrary. What is camp for, I thought to find a " player".

That was an awfully sad game to watch. Where's our infamous "D"? No pass rush , horrible corners. Favre going to have a field day. God I hope i'm wrong!

Hey Preston,

I certainly hope Rolle isn't on the field Week 7. Because he'd be the only one...the rest of the team will be enjoying their bye week. Another obvious oversight put into print by The Sun.

Bring back C-Mac

One can only hope that this scenario where a 33 year old corner who has past his prime yet could take off his neck brace and come back to possibly be the best corner on the team would serve as a reality check for Newsome and Decosta....Why they refuse to draft a competitive corner [not since Chris Mcalister in 1999] is beyond me and has certainly been self destructive to the team's efforts to be competitive with the elite teams .....the Bengals, Broncos, Jets, Saints and Vikings all have complete defenses now thats why they've all improved...its as much about Darrelle Revis and Lito Sheppard as it is Mark Sanchez....Cedric Griffin and Antoine Winfield as it is Brett Farve...Tracey Porter, Malcolm Jenkins and Jabarri Greer as it is Drew Brees...Champ Bailey,Alphonso Smith and Andre Goodman as it is Kyle Orton....Johnathan Joseph,Leon Hall,Ray Malaluga,Micheal Johnson,Keith Rivers,Tank Johnson,Antwan Odom...thats what has made the bengals finnaly competitive....Kelvin Hayden and Marlin Jackson make sure Payton Manning's efforts are not matched or done in vain.....its a pass oriented league now....if you dont have top notch extremly talented /instinctive corners you cant compete for a superbowl.....but somehow they felt like Paul Kruger was more important than Dolphins rookie corner Sean Smith...Smith did for Tony Sporano what no one could do for Rex Ryan in Baltimore...kept Braylon Edwards to 64 yards and 1 touchdown.
