Why did the Ravens run Ray Rice up the middle and then spike on the last two plays?. There was plenty of time to run another pass play or two and get closer, at least so it wasn't a FG beyond 40 yards which is no gimme.

We know there has been some shopping for a WR in recent weeks. I would like to think the Powers to Be are very very concerned about our personnel in the Defensive Secondary. Do you know if we are shopping for a replacement to Frank Walker and Dawan Landry?

Ken, given how terrible the secondary has been, do you see any chance the Ravens look into bringing C-Mac back? He wouldn't be expensive and has to be better than Chris Carr at nickel right now. Are they looking at any other FA corners? Thanks.

what is the status on Samari? Any chance on seeing him play this year?

If ozzie has any sense what so ever he sould relaease frank walker today. he has no class and could not cover a may in wheel chair. what he did in pitt game last year should have been enough to release him, he is just a poor and rude person that can't play at this lever. DUMP HIM now and bring Chris Mac back.

i say make c-mac coach!!...better than what we have now, and while he's at it maybe he can play q-back too since ours is PATHETIC!!!!

Give it up on McAllister, people. There's a reason no other teams haven't signed him even though a ton of teams have major secondary issues (did you watch the Patriots/Titans game?!?!). He's done and bringing him back isn't going to help.

Hey Ken, I have to totally disagree with you on your Michael Oher assessment. He played a heck of a game for a rookie making his 6th start. There was only 1 sack recorded by Allen and Oher let him run free on that one because of confusion on the line when setting up the screen. Oher showed very good technique and power to hold his ground on bull rushes. This guy is going to be a STUD by next year. I didn't like the draft pick initially but I think the Ravens have a replacement for JO and he has a better mean streak. Gaither better get well soon, before he loses his spot. Maybe he will get his spot back if they move Yanda inside to replace Chester, because that's where most of the pressure was coming from. The Williams played a great game, but thankfully got tired near the end.
On a different note, what do you think about trying Gooden out at strong safety next year? His speed to catch Peterson in the open field was remarkable, even if he did have an angle. His coverage skills won't be that much worst than Landry after a summer of working on it. I mean it's worth a shot, Ray seems to think the world of this guy. But truly he is just too small to stick his nose in there against linemen on every down,

gooden as a safety, you were joking right? and oher was up and down, two penalties, allen was making plays in the backfield the whole game, almost caused a fumble, not sure what game you were watching

I totally agree with Warren on his assessment of Oher. He did not get taken to school. What game were you watching? Oher did a great job. In fact I recall that Rice made two extremely big plays while running past Allen who was blocked by Oher. You need to rewatch the game. Kevin Williams put on most of the pressure while Jared Allen danced around like Hill Billy Jim.

The problem I think is Mattison. He just seems to old and set in his ways to motivate these players they seem scared and confused most of the time.Every dcord we had since mlewis had a cocky mean streak he doesent have and players feed of that

@Stew ,I don't know what game you were watching but Oher manhandled your boy Allen all day , he had two laspes but com'on he's a ROOKIE , he made Allen look like a second rate player .....!!!!!

The team is good to go, and what they really need is to not listen to jugheads such as you fans. Coaches coach, players play and fans fan (sit down, cheer team on, and talk up the players). I have never witnesses such pessimistic fans, editors and so-called supporters in my life. The Ravens got to be a good team not based on what sorry editors or fans suggest, but by making sound, objective business decisions. Ozzie et al. will do the same here- not listen to the pundits. The fact that no trades were made also suggest that these experienced coaches and leaders feel that the answer to getting right is in the team make-up, not some quick fix, that losers and editors recommend all the time. The special teams, defense and offense, and the coaches have to be on the same accord to win games. I don't play football, only at college level, yet it was a D2 school and we were not good, and even if we were, I can't criticize these players. They work their butts off. So loser fans and editors, get your head right. Either support the team or shut up! I don't know why we even have these blogs anyway, as they are senseless. Maybe we would be better served if we wrote each other instead of taking valuable space on the webb. I guess the sun doesn't mind wasting time and space. No wonder the Ravens don't read this crap. Its for losers to read and write, who can't play nor understand the game.

Everyone keeps saying that Frank Walker is a bum cause he is always getting beat... I was just curious if you could find his 40-yard dash times from the combine? The reason I ask is, if he is running 4.4 40 times, then is it his technique, or schemes? Fabian ran a 4.34 i believe and was considered a blazer, as is foxworth; both of them seem to be getting beat consistently down the field as well. I guess I'm just looking for some hope in the secondary. If its a scheme or coaching issue, then there is a better chance that it can be helped and get better as the season goes on. If it's just that our corners are slow and cannot play, then why did Dr. Oz, the personnel czar bring these guys in and doom our season to failure? Any insight?
