Ravens likely to put some cut players on developmental squad
Of the 22 players waived by the Ravens today, they'll probably try to get receivers Justin Harper, Jayson Foster, Eron Riley, fullback Jason Cook, safety K.J. Gerard, center Robby Felix and linebacker William VanDeSteeg back on the developmental squad.

Ravens must find way to hold on to Eron Riley.this guy is going to be a star in few months if not weeks.if they let him go,the ravens we regret they did.

I hope they put Riley on the squad.
It'll be a shame to lose this guy.
I was very surprised they cut him.

I can't believe we're going to keep Frank Walker. Ed Reed is scared to make contact, and is trying to tackle by snatching a ball carrier by the jersey as he goes by. Fabian Washington wouldn't know a tackle if they showed him a picture, and said, "OK, Fabian, this is what it looks like when you tackle a guy. The first step is to actually get your hands on him; not whiff as he goes by." That means that any runner who breaks contain only has to deal with Landry and Foxworth, and that every time Walker enters the game, his man will be the intended receiver. If Rex Ryan knows how pathetic he is, don't you think the rest of the league will also be going after him? Once again, Newsome has failed to come up with legit WRs and CBs. Genius? I hardly think so....

what about peerman and drew?

What about Davon Drew and Cedric Peerman? Drew, in particular, I thought they were excited about when they drafted him, and they need a young tight end to take over for Heap and LJ in the near future.

What about Davon Drew? Does he not have potential as a play-making tightend also being a position we are thin at?

Can I just say, I am getting tired of the people who believe Eron Riley was ready to take over the #1 job for us at any point this season...
He had ONE good game, and it was really just two catches in that one game. It came against a scrub defense. Remember, he did next to nothing the rest of the preseason games and was pretty raw in practice too.
I think he has great developmental value, but he's not going to be a star anytime soon...there is a reason he was undrafted and was behind Justin Harper and Jayson Foster on the depth chart.

It is amazing the lack of football knowledge of some fans that place stupid comments on these posts. I don't read them for knowledge I read them for a laugh. You all should spend more time studying the game instead of embarrassing yourselves. Ozzie and the Ravens are one of the best organizations in football. Let them do their job.

Guys we are STACKED at RB so Peerman, as nice of a kid as he is, would be better off going to another team in need of RB's. Davon Drew did absolutely NOTHING in our preseason games and got cut from a team that has one solid TE (Heap) at the moment; this should answer your question about him. I agree on Riley, he started to show up against his fellows scrubs in the final preseason game; the kid deserves a chance to continue developing on the Ravens. Frank Walker must have some naked pics of Harbs' wife or something though, cuz dude was TOAST all preseason-long and needs to go!

How dare they cur Eron Riley after that great catch and run for a touchdown against the Falcons....Justin Harper has never made a catch like that in his life...How can a team that is as developmentally receiver challenged as the Ravens are cut a guy who shows he has great instincts for catching and running after the catch...and how bad can Davon drew be to get cut on a team with park up front Heap and Lj candle [1 blow he's out ]Smith...Peerman shows speed, hands, running vision and instinct...Kj Gerrard did everything right when given a chance and showed instinct for the ball during trainng camp.... definitely has playmaking ability....Oglesby was always 2 steps to slow until thursday when he had one the greatest games by any Raven player defensively and special teams...if he can play like that all the time he'd be a star....

Eron Riley and Jayson Foster are potential impact players. Someone will pick them up and the Ravens may end up regretting it by mid-season.
