Injury report

The Ravens and Chargers released their injury reports earlier this evening, and the news appears promising for the visiting team on both sides.

Three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Terrell Suggs returned to full participation in Thursday’s practice after sitting out Wednesday’s session with a chest injury. He joined linebacker Tavares Gooden (sprained right knee) who also fully practiced for the second consecutive day.

Five-time Pro Bowl free safety Ed Reed (concussion) and tight end L.J. Smith (pulled left hamstring) were limited for the second straight day. The only concern remains safety Tom Zbikowski, who missed his second consecutive practice due to a concussion.

In San Diego, three offensive starters in running back LaDainian Tomlinson (sprained right ankle), center Nick Hardwick (sprained ankle) and guard Louis Vasquez (knee) did not practice for the second straight day.

Starting defensive end Travis Johnson (groin) also did not practice for the second straight day. A pair of starters in left offensive tackle Marcus McNeill (hand) and defensive tackle Jamal Williams (arm) were upgraded to full and limited participation, respectively. Punter Mike Scifres (groin) was limited.

Not sure Sproles playing over Tomlinson is good for the Ravens. At this point, I think Sproles is the better back.
