Ravens' McGahee looks good

Backup running back Willis McGahee continues to have an impressive training camp.

He looks like the McGahee of old running hard, and cutting off blocks after he helps set them up.

He seems happy and just might be buying into coach John Harbaugh's approach instead of going against the grain like he did last season. With McGahee healthy and on board, it gives the Ravens a really good 1-2 punch at running back.

When his head is on straight, McGahee is one of the top running backs in the league.

...or when he is looking for a new contract.

Mike, I was at camp on Wednesday and was surprised how much they had McGahee lined up as a receiver. Also, he was looking good catching balls out of the backfield in the flat and cutting upfield. Could he finally be materializing into the versatile back that they gave all the money to? I don't know, it's just training camp.

on a different subject, kicking competition. If pressure is the salient quality in a kicker, the subject should be closed. View the complete CHOKE job Gano had in the Orange bowl against Penn St a few years ago.

Anonymous, whatever it takes.

Haters!!! When anyone has their head on straight, they are going to be more of an asset! McGahee played his butt off last season and in the Pittsburgh playoff game made some great chip blocks on blitzing enemy linebackers and scored both touchdowns; top it all off he took a "bullet" for the team in that game! Show some support for #23! GO RAVENS!!

my thoughts exactly
