Reed: "It's still sore"

Speaking for the first time this camp with a group of local reporters, Ed Reed said he still hasn't fully recovered from a nerve impingement in his neck and shoulder, which bothered him throughout last season.

"It's still sore," Reed said. "It still is what it is at this point."

The Pro Bowl safety has looked healthier and more confident in his tackling ability than last year. After not playing in any preseason game last year, he has already played two series in the preseason opener this year.

Asked about the adjustment of playing with that soreness, Reed said: "Just got to be smarter. Thinking about my son and the longevity of life, that keeps you playing differently."

My neck hurts a little to.....

crybaby ravens

A few million dollars a year probably makes the pain easier to deal with.

A few million isn't worth sitting in a wheel chair over you ignorant fools. Will see who's crying during the season.

You guys better be kidding....If the man makes a funny tackle or an odd hit (and by odd Im including the shots where he nearly knocks opponents heads off..) he could do some serious long term damage. When you have a family and a life outside football injuries like this mean more at his age.

Some fans whine when they stump a toe.Ed's a little handicapped, probably for the rest of his carear ,so I give him credit for his view in life.He still wants to play, does'nt he?Give the guy a break!

Yeah, well lets see any of you jokes on here do anything nearly as amazing as Ed Reed does each and every week.....Until then, keep your negative comments to yourself, you're a nobody.

God I hate all non raven fans.. Everyone hates on the ravens. I hohnestly think its just jealousy. If you are not a raven fan and you come watch a game at ravens stadium you leave there wishing you had ray lewis and ed reed on your teams.. The excitement and maazing things these guys do each week for there fans ins un real.. YOU GUYS WISH you had that on your teams. So be haters and be jealous we love our RAVENS
