Kelly Gregg does not want to be Samuel L. Jackson

Let me elaborate. The Ravens defensive tackle does not want to be known as "Mr. Glass," the frail character whose bones break easily in the M. Night Shyamalan film "Unbreakable."

Gregg, who missed last season due to microfracture surgery on his left knee, did not play in Saturday's 17-13 victory over the Carolina Panthers due to a sprained shoulder suffered in the one-point win against the New York Jets last Monday.

But Gregg returned to practice today, and he was determined to do so.

"I'm going to practice today," Gregg said before practice. "It's just one of those deals. I've got to get out there and do a little work. They're starting to call me Mr. Glass around here."

While conceding that sitting out the remainder of the preseason might be a prudent move, Gregg said he is just as intent to play in Thursday's preseason finale against the Atlanta Falcons.

"I'm hoping," Gregg said. "I'm going to work today and get out there and sweat with the guys. Just got to be smart with these things. If it was regular season, I would've played [against the Panthers]."

The Mr. Glass title should go to LJ Smith. He can't even watch a game without getting hurt!

He may be Mr. Glass but he will never take Dan Cody's title as Mr. Ripleys believe it or not....how can a guy be on a team 3 years and play 3 plays.....and lets not forget his invisible teammate PJ the ghost Daniels....

Kelly will never be thought of as Mr. Glass to Raven's fans. We all know how much he sacrifices his body down in the trenches. Get better Kelly and come kick some Steeler butt with the rest of the Ravens.

Ravens fan here who actually tests for the real-life genetic disorder called Osteogenesis imperfecta (Brittle Bone Disease.)

I am the OI tech in pretty much the only lab in the world that sequences out the genes responsible for the disease. It helps there is a famous movie to refer to when I try and explain what I do for a living.

Kelly Gregg should feel free to send a sample of his blood down here to Tulane if he is worried!

i am happy. how could you not be seeing this offense in the pre-season. but if you do what John Czarnecki says in his article today about trades that should happen before the start of the season I would be happier. Get BRANDON MARSAHLL!!

it will virtually guarantee the Super Bowl!

Funny, I have called Todd Heap Mr. Glass for like 3 years...

Don't worry Kelly . we know you are a tough guy....go Ravens
