Harbaugh reiterates "nothing serious" with Suggs

Ravens coach John Harbaugh said he thought Pro Bowl linebacker Terrell Suggs would have been back by now from his heel injury. But Harbaugh reiterated after Saturday's practice that it’s “nothing serious.”

“You just go with what the trainers and doctors tell you,” Harbaugh said. “As far as what we’ve been told, there’s nothing serious in there. It’s a nagging thing. You got the heel and it got sheared in there a little bit. It’s hard to heal. It’s really delicate.”

A day after getting injured on Aug. 2, Suggs said he would miss a couple of days. Now, he has missed the final 20 days of training camp.

A lot of these guys conjure up injuries to get out of the 90 degree heat and humidity, then suddenly are ready when the season begins. I'm probably one of the few Ravens fan that isn't all that big a Suggs fan.He hasn't been as effective since Adalius Thomas was here because the defense always knows where he is now. He needs to be a freelancer to be effective. If it was me I would have kept Bart Scott and Jim Leonard.

Same every year, the Prima-Dona's don't want to practice in summer camp. Thought Harbaugh would have a handle on this , but evidently he does not!

John, your crazy. Though I hate seeing Jim and Bart leave but thats part of the business. Back to my point, Terrell Suggs is a great LB and would start on all 32 teams in the NFL. How quickly we forget during the post season Terrell was getting QB sacks on Big Ben with one arm. Also, he missed how many games to injuries? He has played hurt year after year and still thats not enough for you so called Ravens FANS. He has less time missed then Most of the stars on the Ravens team and you call him a Prima-Dona??? Really John, Mike B? How can you forget just how hard it is to play Football in the first place, Cmom. Lets save the Prima-Dona blast for Terrell Owens or Chris Johnson. Not for the home town warriors who came close to the SuperBowl last year.

Sizzle is still rehabbing that injured shoulder;I'm convinced.Feeling that's a good reason to take his time and drafting Kruger does'nt annoy me as much,as maybe some other fans.Non contact is probably his best option in the meantime.

Suggs get his 10 - 15 sacks this year and everyone loves him. John, Leonard had a good motor & smart, But Landry is soooo much better than Leonard.
Landry has better size, speed & hits harder, tight ends will not catch the ball across the middle now with Dawan hitting them in the back!!!

I've had multiple achilles injuries. Its not something you want to mess with. Its best to just let him take the time off and then throw him in there for the regular season opener. Those kinds of injuries linger and just get worse over time so if he doesn't get it fully healed now, you can expect him to miss some time later in the season. And just pray it doesn't rupture like mine did because I didn't give it the proper rest.

Thank you "pro raven". Right on.

Look, it's better safe than sorry. If he ruptures that achilles, he's done for the year (or more)! After I blew one of mine, my doctor told me it sheared like an old rope breaking one strand at a time. I wish I had paid attention to the warning signs. Most of you don't know what you're talking about. He's not doggin it.
