Life is such a fragile process, one that the second we take our first breath, is a step closer to our last. I don't know Steve McNair personally all I know is he once played for my favorite NFL team, the Baltimore Ravens, hence I rooted for him to help them win and make me proud. I'm not a pretentious human being and so I don't throw around statements that don't do myself or the deserving justice in such a serious and defining moment in life or death. Steve McNair has a family, people who knew him, people who raised him people who were close to him, and people who loved him. Those are the people that this is about right now. If McNair's death was about an affair with this 20 year old girl and outside his marriage, all anybody can do is shake his or head head and agree with the axiom that there is a thin line between love and hate, and an even thinner one between it's cousins life and death! I pray for Mrs McNair and her children and may God have mercy on Steve and his killer! Take care of each other everybody and try and enjoy your life! Thank you for reading and I hope I didn't offend anybody.

Im deeply sad behind the deaths of both of them. No one deserves to die like that. I just hope his family will be fine and I will keep them in my prayers. We all make mistakes and are imperfect so no one should judge or blame anyone what happened. I feel awful this did happen. Life is so precious and we have to be careful before we make any decisons.

League MVP, NFL Man of the Year, Hero of the Katrina Recovery Effort, football warrior, husband, father, and now a dead philanderer.

We really don't know these guys, do we?

No Samari ??

How about Ray Lewis? Nothing has been said about him, I seem to recall he and McNair were very close. I assume he is staying out of the public eye during his mourning? I will be very surprised if he is not at the funeral...

No matter the outcome of the investigation.......it's just a sad story. Nothing seems right about the whole thing. Now there are 2 families that are grieving the loss of loved ones.
I won't be judging either of the 2 who have lossed their lives.
It just doesn't seem possible that this girl could have done this. Maybe she was seeing more into the relationship. Or maybe someone else was clever enough to have done this. Something dramatic must have transpired between her DUI arrest and later on the next day into Saturday. How often do you get pulled over for a DUI, have bail posted ( by McNair ) and then go and purchase a handgun intent on killing someone ......after leaving the jailhouse? The fact that she wasn't even old enough to lawfully purchase one, is irrelevant.
Hard to imagine that this so-called happy and vibrant young lady suddenly became a cold blooded killer. We'll find out shortly, or maybe we never will know all of the reasoning behind this senseless act.
Heartfelt condolences to both of the families. Both are seeking some kind of closure, to this tragedy.

thanks McNair. You are just a great guy in my books. I was sad and for funeral arrangements Ray Lewis should be there, because he was a great friend to Steve McNair. I do not know about the truth nor I really care. I do not know what to say, but I wish the McNair family the best.

Perhaps, but many times we don't even know ourselves! It's a complex world and what is so amazing to me is that too many times in our lives, especially in troublesome times, we choose to acknowledge God and that's very important. But this is a binary world and the Devil has to be dealt with as well. I always try and remind myself of Job and recall how one day the angels came before the Lord and Satan was right along with them and they didn't even know. God asked Satan: "Where have you come from?" Satan answered the Lord, "From roaming through the earth and going back and forth in it." Wow, what very, very important and powerful lesson!

The one thing that I am very famailer with is the MEDIA knows how to make a distored image of a situation.
We are all famaliar with situation that the MEDIA would NEVER be involved with any portion the this life process. I am suppose that NO ONE in the media staff, especialluy the BALTIMORE SUN, has EVER been involved in foreign non popular situations and acceeded to them. Hellno, the MEDIA IS ABOVE GOD. You surely prove the fact has nothing to do with REAL knowledge or understanding!
I KNOW that none of my comments over the years have EVER been included in the IDIOT's GARGABE SEGMENT. Nor does the idiot, who has a respone directive, have the courage to make direct statement. Even through I live in Arizona the clueless pooulation, the SUN still show it is trying to achieve the great5ness of WEST By God" VIRGINIA. Baltimore use to be a hardworking, learning and dedicated town of people that believed in TRUTH AND HONESTY in the news media. Can you tell me WHEN THAT WILL CHANGE? You have the identifcation but I do not believe that you have the fortitude to disply the capacity of your grey cells.

Jamison,

Any chance you could try to get some more information from the Nashville police regarding why the person who sold Kazemi the gun is not being charged or publicly identified?

Without politicizing this too much, I would argue that Kazemi having such ready access to a gun contributed to Steve's death. I don't see why this person would not be identified and charged since it is illegal to sell to someone under 21.

I saw somewhere that the seller may not have been aware of her age but I didn't think that was a valid defense for criminal behavior. It just doesn't seem right that this person is not punished at all.

The elephant in the room or in our society or maybe just the plain ugly truth. I live in Baltimore and liked Steve McNair. I have a problem with the cool aid, its hot, its nasty and it taste like sht.

McNair like others recently painted as saints wasn't. He was a man he was flawed. He cheated on his wife, set a horrible example for his children and in reality dishonored his sport. True warriors and hero's just don't do that.

My biggest problem in all the above NOT calling him on his behavior. Was he awful no, did kill dogs for fun, smack his wife around, molest children no, but; he was dishonest and a fraud. We as a society need to stop looking the other way when its an entertainer, a sports figure or someone with fame and money. We don't need to crucify the guy but warrior and hero - ah not so much!!

There is no honor in our society, because we don't demand it; sad...
