Second draft pick signs
Cedric Peerman, a sixth-round pick, signed a three-year, $1.2 million deal with the Ravens that included a $78,000 signing bonus.
Peerman, a running back out of Virginia, joins tight end Davon Drew as the Ravens' signed draft picks. The Ravens report to training camp in late July.
The unsigned draft picks are: offensive tackle Michael Oher (first round); defensive end Paul Kruger (second round); cornerback Lardarius Webb (third round); and linebacker Jason Phillips (fifth round).

A comparison for you how bad we are in the 2nd and 3rd compred to 4th-6th last yr not included b/c jury is still out
07: Figurs/Yanda vs. Barnes/Mcclain/Troy/Burgess 4-6th
06: Chester/Pittman v. Williams/Landry/Quinn/Koch/Martin not close here 4-6th
05: Cody/Terry v. Brown/Green/DA - not close again 4-6th
04: Edwards/Darling v Green/Harris/Moore = bad draft
03: Musa v. Jarret/Ovie/Frank/Pashos 4th-6th
02: Weaver v. Zast/Chester Taylor 4-6
01: Baxter/Rabach v. Hartwell/Maese close here.
00: Redman v. Adaulius = ??
99: no one v. Stokes/Mulitalo
Point is With few exception we havne't got value in 2nd & 3rd as wel have in later rounds so deal the picks and pick up marshall.

I think in the next few years, Peerman will be seen as one of our steals in this year's draft and will add another dimension to our run game. Another good pick by Ozzie.

I think Peerman will make McGahee expendable after Peerman has a good year and McGahee's cap number comes down. Remember, McGahee is not a Harbaugh guy and was known in Buffalo as a malcontent. He has been saying and doing the right things for the most part, but I think the business end of the NFL catches up with him after this season.

I agree with PV, Ozzie has been wasting 2nd & 3rd rounders ever since he started drafting. If Ozzie likes taking long shots, each year he should trade his 2nd & 3rd rounders and pick up more later round picks or make trades with the picks.
