Agent: Boldin will be traded
Wide receiver Anquan Boldin was again in the news Friday before the Ravens took the field for their first mandatory minicamp.
On agent Drew Rosenhaus' Twitter page, he wrote, "I still believe Anquan will be traded before training camp. I hope to work together with the Cardinals to resolve this situation by then."
The Ravens, who had talked to the Arizona Cardinals about Boldin, are currently holding tryouts at receiver with Jerry Porter, Kelley Washington, D.J. Hackett and Tab Perry.
But it seems like this Boldin story won't ever get resolved.

He also said this on draft day. I dont want Boldin. We dont need another player on our team (Suggs) that wants a big contract. Just worry about Suggs.

The Ravens can't afford to trade away any more draft choices {like they did to acquire Willis Macgahee} and end up with few choices in poor draft positions like this year. The Ravens need to get off of the fixation with Boldin, they can't to pay him anyway.

The WR debate will somehow find a way to figure itself out as the preseason winds down.
There will be injuries, players who bust out and some who just bust, period.
I look at it this way...give Flacco all day to look around and eventually even Mike Preston would get open, show let's concentrate on the O-Line getting better so Joe has that luxury.
Of course, if that happens everyone will say things like , "Oh, what a break out season (insert WR name here) had!!"

Right player and right price. If we can get Boldin for a second round pick and Todd Heap then go for it. But if the Cardinals want too much like a first rounder, forget it. We've got a team that can compete with anyone in the NFL right now. Boldin would be icing on the cake. There is no need to mortgage our future for a disgruntled wide receiver.

Do the Ravens want Boldin?
Can we afford him?
What will we have to give up to get him?
BOLDIN IS BECOMING ALL THAT MORE ATTRACTIVE SINCE WE GOT NO RECEIVER IN THE DRAFT.

He also said that he would definitely get traded on draft day and look where he is. I'd love to have Boldin but we need to get Suggs signed first, then workout something with next years picks.

I believe Boldin will be dealt and the Cards will pay a hefty price compensation wise because they waited so long to deal him. He will go for nothing more than a third.

You guys know nothing about football. Although Boldin is a big receiver, he is a possession receiver just like the rest of the duds we already have. We need a receiver who can stretch the field, not another underrneath "run after the catch" guy. Give it up.

If the Ravens still want to do this than at least take care of Suggs first, I'd much have Suggs stay then go.

Couldn't agree more with Ed. If the O-line comes together this season like I believe they will, everyone will forget about Boldin. Plus, we have enough WR's with size and speed in camp now to possibly find that guy who can make the deep plays.

Boldin is a pain anyway....whoever gets him he is a good player but has a T.O, Randy moss personality...We cardinals fans will not be missing him.....We got the best reviever in the NFL Larry Fitzgerald who is also a classy guy....good ridince Boldin

Emm, it's I'm not saying we need Boldin but he would be a plus. Yes he's big and that's huge in the Red Zone, something we haven't had. It was suppose to be Heap but he couldn't catch a cold but naked in Alaska last year. Boldin doesn't just run after the catch, he can still stretch the field and once he catches the ball he's hard to bring down.
I believe if Williams stays healthy ( a big if) he may be able to stretch the field given that our O-line holds its ground this year.

We Must Get Boldin!

If a contract with Suggs can't be worked out, trade him to SF for their 1st and 3rd next year (which it sounds like they would agree to), and then trade our original first and SF's 3rd (and Heap, if necessary) for Boldin. Bada-bing.
Priority numero uno, resign Suggs. But it's really starting to look like that's not a viable option, and might as well lose him a year early and get a return on him than wait a year and get nothing.

COME ON YOU GUYS, YOU DON'T WANT HIM? YOU KNOW YOU LYING, HE'S A TOP 5 WIDEOUT FOR PETES SAKE. JUST ADMIT IT, EVENTHOUGH WE WON'T END UP WITH HIM.

The trade would be done but Bolden wants too much money. He's expecting 10 million a year like Fitzgerald but he needs to realize that he's not as young or as durable as Larry. Take the 6-7 million and be happy or play for 2.5 this year in Arizona, risk injury and hit the market in 2010....If the union and the league can reach an agreement on the collective bargaining agreement. If not it will be longer.

Lets see,
Randy Moss, Reggie Wayne, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward, Andre Johnson
There is 5 over him that I would like better. But he is a Number 1 reciever and probably in the top 10. He would be a great addition, but there are more guys out there that we can probably get for cheaper. How about Marvin Harrison who is a free agent right now. He is old and has been declining, but with him and Mason with one of our other recievers having a good breakout season we might be in really good shape.
