Nothing imminent between Ravens, Pace

No deal is expected soon with Orlando Pace, but the Ravens are still believed to be the front-runners for landing the free-agent offensive tackle.

Pace visited with team officials Thursday. If he signed with the Ravens, he would start at right tackle. The Ravens likely would release Willie Anderson.

The Ravens were Pace's first free-agent visit.

I think they would be fools to dump Anderson for Pace. What have the rams done in the past 5 years? That would be a high priced downgrade.

All we heard for two years was how hard it is for a left tackle to play right tackle. We have an older pro bowl veteran right tackle, who is healthy, knows the system and wants to be here. Or we can pay more for an oft injured probowl left tackle who hasn't been healthy in two years??? Why are we talking to Pace?

In Oz We Trust, but I'm with Scott...keep Big Willie and let Pace get overpaid to play at best marginally better somewhere else.

should'nt it be a rotation of Pace/Anderson on the Right and Terry to back up at Left Tackle? Why would they dump Anderson. Find another cap casualty.

Pace is past his prime.Willie Anderson has proven himself.I say keep Anderson.

It would be a very bad move to sign Pace and release Anderson.

They should be working on signing Suggs to a long term contract so they would have enough cap room to go after Holt.

While I'm not arguing that Pace would be an upgrade over Anderson, your comment about what the Rams have done lately is irrelevant and stupid. You do realize Anderson came from the Bengals? There are some good players on bad teams and some bad players on good teams.

Keep Willie Anderson!!!!

Wait until after the draft as someone of better value will get cut . Move up and get Maclin or Harvin. Hayward-Bey would also fit the mode. No more injury prone concerns please, we always lose that bet !

And my feelings have'nt changed about Anderson vs Pace, either.Keep Willie and some continuity on the darn O line, please!

hey guys, I respect all of your opinions but I respect Ozzie's more. I say let's trust him and if that means we go with Pace over Anderson, so be it. I am just guessing here but I think Ozzie has a bit more experience picking free agents over the average fan. Just saying...

i think they should keep big Willie. He actually played pretty well and Terry filled in pretty good as well. Pace is not a right tackle and at this point in his career, it would be a tough transition. Let's go after Holt. If we get him for a bargain, that would be an amazing pick up!

Signing Pace, and releasing Anderson would be stupid. In Oz we trust, but he's not always right. Anderson know the system, and he has something to prove. Pace is done, he should have retired gracefully like JO, go out on top. Torry Holt is the guy we should be talking to.
