Ravens' Suggs, Rolle make appearance
Practice this morning was closed for about the first 30 minutes as the team participated in a walkthrough, but when the doors to the indoor facility at the Ravens training complex were opened, linebacker Terrell Suggs and cornerback Samari Rolle were two of the players who made their way from the field to the locker room.
Suggs wore a gray sweatshirt and did not appear to be wearing a shoulder harness or brace of any sort. Rolle was also dressed in a gray hoodie. Both players did not practice yesterday, and their availability for Sunday's AFC championship game against the Pittsburgh Steelers is uncertain.
Others who did not practice yesterday but made an appearance at the walkthrough included wide receivers Derrick Mason (knee/dislocated left shoulder/sore trapezius muscle) and Mark Clayton (thigh); fullback Le'Ron McClain (right ankle); linebacker Jarret Johnson (left calf); and defensive tackle Justin Bannan (foot).

I sure hope the Ravens can continue to win all the way through the Super Bowl. However it ends up for them, they should know that the Baltimore fans are very proud of their tremendous season. It's truly inspiring to see a team that wasn't expected to do much, come together and accomplish what they have.
No one expected the Ravens to win more than five games this year because of a rookie head coach and a rookie QB. I'm the eternal optomist and knew they would win more than five games, but even I didn't think that they would make the playoffs. I would have never envisioned them making it to the AFC Championship game.
Congratulations to Coach John Harbaugh for uniting a divided team and bringing a strong work ethic along as well. It's paid off greatly !
Big thanks to Cam Camron for coming here and finally structuring a good Ravens offense.
Congratulations also to the unflapple Joe Flacco [aka "Joe Cool"].
Flacco has lifted the whole team with his outstanding abillities. The defense no longer has to win the game because this kid can get it done. Derrick Mason is to be commended as well for being a true leader and one tough guy! This man has continued playing ever since he dislocated his shoulder in a game several weeks ago. I've had a dislocated shoulder and let me tell you, It's PAINFUL !
Leron McClain has also emerged as a premiere back, along with rookie sensation Ray Rice. Mark Clayton has finally emerged as the big play receiver the Ravens hoped he would be and Todd Heap made a huge catch in the final minute of the game this evening. Lorenzo Neal was such a great addidtion, as well as Willie Anderson. The offensive line was ravaged with injuries, yet a patchwork group formed one of the better units in the NFL. The Ravens have 16 players on Injured Reserve. Thats among the most in the NFL this year.
I can't end this without mentioning the stellar defensive play thats been the core of the Baltimore Ravens for many years now. Ray Lewis is the most complete linebacker that has ever stepped on an NFL football field ! Ed Reed will probably go down in history as the greatest free safety to ever play the game ! They don't do what they do without the help of nine other excellent defenders and the great reserves that are rotated into the game. Stars like Suggs,Scott, J. Johnson, Pryce,Ngata,Rolle and guys that stepped up like Bannan, Leonard and F. Washington. The defense has been missing three valuable starters all season long [Macallister,Landry & Gregg]. Reserves such as F. Walker, B. McKinney,M.Douglass,C.Ivy,A Barnes, J. MCLain & N. Greisen has contributed greatly to the success of this team.
The special teams deserve mention as well. Matt Stover is "Money Matt" and is truly loved in Baltimore. Sam Koch has emerged as a real weapon because his punts pin opposing teams deep in their own territory. Other great special teams players on this team are, B Ayanbadjo , J. Leonard, T. Zbokowski, H Nakimura, D. Stone, Y Figurs.
Last but not least, congratulations to my favorite coach. The best defensive coach in the NFL, Rex Ryan. I pray that he doesn't leave Baltimore for a head coaching job. The Raven defense would not be the same without Rex guiding it.
Thanks to Mr. Bischotti and Ozzie Newsome for making excellent personel moves as usual.
Lets go all the way Ravens !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Geez, we are fielding a team of the walking wounded. To me, this is the most incredible aspects of the Raven's success this year. I can never remember a year where we had so many serious and often season ending injuries. This team has great depth. Also, guys have played hurt. It's unbelievable to have withstood all these injuries and to have performed so well. Kudos to Ozzie and the front office for providing the depth and the players and coaches for performing with such heart and guts.

I've always held Derrick Mason in high regard, but he has reached a whole new level with the way he has battled through this season. For a guy who is supposedly "too old" & "not fast enough" - he has been outplaying CB's 10 years his junior - with only 1 good arm. He hasn't brought any attention to his injury. He's just flat-out tough, leading by example, & helping Flacco enjoy his rookie success. The guys on D (rightfully so) & Flacco (rightfully so) have received a lot of the attention - but Mason, in my view, is the unsung hero of this team.

Yeesh. Clearly Mason knows the difference between hurt and hurting. My guess is Rolle & Suggs will, too, come Sunday. AFC championship games don't come around too often. They'll go - the question is for how long. An upside is that the OL and RBs aren't on this list for a change. We've gotta grind out the run against the #1 defense if we want to have a chance.
All in all , I'm still hoping some to much of sick bay Is Harbaugh yanking chain again re: injuries, as he has since training camp. Not complaining, mind you, the man's a hero. Just sayin'...

I think the offense carries us this weekend, Flacco, Mcgahee, Ray Rice all have big games!! This season has been so unpredictable that this theory makes sense. The Ravens offense carrying the wounded defense into the Superbowl over the big bad steelers.
CMON 5!!!!! Willis Put a Muzzle on all the haters and Ray let them know there's more than one Ray Ray on this team!

Jason Brown is a free agent , can we keep him also?

Pat, another thing about Mason, how bad must the other recivers feel, Derrick Mason with only One arm, is better than them with two arms.
Marcus Smith and Terrence Copper, I'm looking at you.

Hey, Cam, we've got more than one tight end that can catch, too. Let's get 'em in the game. And Ngata, how about a couple of sacks! Go Ravens!

Sorry, folks, but I would'nt count on Sizzle at all;maybe the Super Bowl.Rolle might last for awhile;it depends how Rex plays him, too. The backups have just to step in and DO THEIR BEST!

I've always been impressed with Edgar Jones and was disappointed when they released him earlier in the year.Fortuneately they brought him back ...but they decided to try to convert him to tightend. While I applaud the vision and the creativity this hindered his development as a potentially very good pass rusher.Jameel Mclain has been very impressive this year, he's strong and explosive....hopefully he can take his game to the next level sunday.Brendon Ayanbadejo was also a BEAST in the preseason work he got ...he certainly is more than capeable of creating edge pressure against the rusty peetowels. In any case the Ravens need to think about Alphonso Smith,Mark Parsons,Domonique Johnson,George Selvie,Clint Sintim,Aaron Maybin,Damian Willams,Brandon Lafell,Percy Harvin and Darrius Heyward Bey...hopefully the can land 2 of these.

If we can pull this win out I can't wait to see the faces of Steelers fans! Keep talking boys ;)

You know what. The only way the Ravens even stay in this game is if they force turnovers. Obviously thats part of the game and could happen but if the Steelers take care of the ball they win and win big. The Titans would have beaten the Raven by a couple touchdown if the held onto the ball. 23-6 Steelers. This game isn't gonna be nearly as close as everyone thinks.
