Giants are best team in NFL

The Ravens weren't going to beat the Giants. Realistically, there was only about a 10 percent chance for an upset. The Ravens were playing their fourth game on the road during a five-game stretch, and they were playing the defending Super Bowl hampions.

Also, after watching the Giants beat up on the Ravens, they have to be considered the best team in the NFL. The Ravens needed everything to go just about right, and they needed to play a perfect game.

The bottom line is that the Ravens are 6-4, and right there with other teams for a wild card playoff berth. It would have been great if the outcome of the Giants game was a little closer, but New York is a good football team, and the Ravens are just average, and trying to get better.

I think we are slightly above average with a high ceiling. Flacco was under seige all day, but he hung in nicely. The poor guy has nobody to throw to other than Mason.

Well I'm sorry I don't think the Ravens are just average. Yes they were out classed yesterday.

I just saw that same ole playing scared nonsense. They played poorly, period. The "D", either wasn't really prepared, played sacred or all the above and had a bad day.

Geeze Cleveland beat the Giants no one threw them under the bus because they had a bad game. Get real.

The real test is will they shake it off get better because of it and continue to correct problems.

Big, big problem that was so glaring Sunday even more then the lousy tackling(YUK), recievers, why don't we have any. Derick Mason is a wonder boy, but he can't do it alone.

I believe that ball that bounced off his helmet was because he can't pick up his arm quickly; shoulder controls that stuff OUCH!!. That baby must hurt.

Flacco continues to impress. Now we need some receivers. Yeah he had an int, so did most of the QB's in the league. Defenses are getting better and better and "stuff", happens.

No one with any sense believed the Ravens were going to beat the Giants, some of us did believe they would play better - oh well.

Good news is every week you get to try again - Go Ravens!! The sun did come this morning so lets get to work!!!!

Just that the Ravens defense defense seems to disapear in big games at times against the elite teams in the NFL, But don't get me wrong, I think they have done a tremendous job playing on the road with a very difficult schedule, it is very hard to win against great teams anytime , on the road it is almost impossible and they were still in the game late, so let us not be too hard on them , let's see how they rebound now that they get to play at home some, they have done a lot better than they were ever expected too and all with a lot of tough injuries. We need to look more now at what they have in the future and what they can build on for the next couple of years.

Game exposed an average LB corps. As long as D-Line keep Offensive Linemen off of the LBs, they excel. If not, they are what they are - good tackling, but slow LBs - from NFL standards. Ray is a shell of what he was - still good, but not Pro Bowl material.

From a Giants fan, keep your head up, Ravens. The Giants were really clicking yesterday with the run attack, and you can't really look at giving up the big play as any kind of systemic problem with Baltimore's defense. When the score was 20-10 in the 3rd quarter and the Ravens had the ball, I was feeling uneasy. The INT turned a fairly tight contest into a laugher. Flacco may have a future, I can't say based on one game, but the guy is big, can move, and can throw. Baltimore will be fighting for a playoff spot this year, for sure.

Last year, when the Patriots beat the Giants in the regular season, the actual game and the post-game analysis looked similiar.

The Giants are the superior team, especially at home, but the Ravens still have what it takes to beat any team in the league. But like last year's Giants, they need to play over their heads a few times.

What happened to "these Ravens are for real"? Those are the words you penned after the Steelers loss? Now they are just average after getting beat by the best team in football? And please take me through the scientific thought process that brought you to conclude the Ravens had a 10 percent chance to win?

I don't think the Ravens were out classed yesterday, but they couldn't match the intensity of the Giants. The Giants running game was just devastating and there was nothing Ray Ray and the rest of the D could do about it. I think the Ravens still have a chance, but they ran into a very determined team on Sunday. You have to give BIG credit to the Giants running game.

From another Giants fan. I really liked your QB. In fact I think he outplayed Eli yesterday. The Ravens will be a team to be reckoned with. Now is the time to do what the Giants did. Use the draft to build depth and talent around that QB of yours. As for yesterday's game, the Giants simply had too many weapons and in fact thanks to the punishing run game left bullets in the gun.

Let's put things in perspective - an early field goal and it's 7 - 3, vs Gmen deep in Rave's territory w/momentum. DMason catching that pass (or at least it not popping right to Ross) and it's still 20 - 10 with a probable chance to cut into the lead. The game was much closer than the score and a couple of big runs indicate, and, the Giants are (with good reason) the favorites to repeat. Not saying the D did not have some lapses or the O-line was great, BUT,don't forget, the Giants exposed the Pats last year.

The Giants are where we all can hope the Ravens are in 2 or 3 years. Remember Eli Manning's visit to M&T Bank Stadium 3 or 4 years ago. Joe Flacco is way ahead of Eli at this point. The young O Line should only get better as will our young running backs. It would have been nice to have 1. played the Giants tougher and 2. actually won but the fact is, let's face it, we would all have been happy with the Ravens at 8-8 when it is still possible to go 10-6. A very good year and a great foundation to build on for a long run into the future. Another o Tackle, D End, deep threat receiver, and a couple of CBs and we are in the running for deep post season play.

From another Giants fan. I was very impressed by your QB, he has a very bright future.Besides Mason, who was playing hurt, from what I read, there was no other receiver to step up and help out. Ed Reed and Ray Lewis were great once but are slowing down.Good luck in your playoff run.
